I've been watching all your sewing videos the past two days (while sewing for the first time in a couple of months). I've been enjoying it and I hope you keep posting sewing videos (and keep enjoying it!!)

You’re totally right about the top stitching pulling the whole jacket together! It immediately looked amazing after that!

This video was so relatable and fun! I would recommend investing in a walking foot. That will help with the tension on thicker layers, slippery fabric, and knits because it ensures your layers are being fed evenly. If your machine uses a standard walking foot, it’s a great way to use those 50% Joann coupons when they come around!

Omg yes!!! I need a walking foot - it would help so much for projects like this!

Congrats on finishing your coat! You did a great job! I’m glad you’re normalizing the frustration we get when working on a more challenging project, whether it’s sewing or something else. Some videos or tutorials make things look too easy which only adds to the frustration!

I love any time you reference Iowa ♥️ ♥️ I was a wrestling cheerleader in high school and the State tournament in Des Moines brings back great memories!

That coat is so nice! Great job. I can totally relate on the season confusion. Twice this year we’ve had 60/70 degrees weather and then snow the next 😒 I’m making a copycat mini version of your garden and I’m so excited to start growing fruit and vegetables. Go away winter!!! My husband and I are embarrassingly addicted to Netflix trash/reality shows 😂 This season of love is blind definitely threw/shocked me a couple times at the end. Oh! Remember that fiddle leaf fig that was supposed to be fake, but I somehow missed the “live” part of the description? She’s putting out a new leaf! I’m so excited! Mainly because I thought for sure she was a goner in my care. Anyways, great video as always. Definitely looking forward to the garden vlogs 😁

Wow, great job! Not giving up halfway through a complicated project is an achievement in itself. And your coat turned out very nice. As for the pillows I think maybe a patterned material would not show dirt as much, but I don't know if that's available for a more heavy duty fabric. Also I love your hair-do when you're sitting in the garden, did you follow any tutorial? I am hopeless when it comes to hairdos, but it looks doable!
@BeccaDeLaCreations2 жыл бұрын
Yes pattern would definitely hide that better!! I didn’t follow a tutorial, I just kinda French braided it and tied the ends with pig tails. Not helpful I’m sorry haha

KZbin premium is only $15.99 and worth every cent! I do watch KZbin though during work sooooo! Lol. Love watching you sew. I’ve always wanted to but I have too many crafts on my plate as is!

I loved this video! For your cushions you could try dying them? I know it’s not a permanent solution but could be an option till you know what you’re wanting to do long term?

What brand is your sewing machine? Love this video. Being on the spectrum with ADHD and anxiety, this would have gone as an unfinished project for me. You are dedicated and I commend you on your determination. It looks fantastic to me!! Binge watching all your videos.

I totally feel you!!! It’s hard to keep at a project 🫣 my machine is a husqvarna Viking! Highly recommend :)

You should dye those cushion covers. I see really cool stuff made with bleach…like reverse tie dyed if that makes sense or shibouri(?) Great job on your coat!
@KahlanCyrilla2 жыл бұрын
I second the dye idea! If you do decide to do new fabric, sunbrella fabric is water and fade resistant

I feel this video so hard. When I started sewing my second project i tried to work with silk, thinking it would be so easy and just cutting everything out took all day and in the end its bulky and you see all your mistakes :') But! next time you will be probably 80% better at a similar project so your mistakes are just you levelling up with sewing. Also, you got bangs?!
@BeccaDeLaCreations2 жыл бұрын
Silky fabric tells no lies!!! Hahah, and very true - we get better with every project! And yes bangs again 😄

I would be annoyed by the YT ads too! After you paid for the pattern you shouldn't have to basically "pay" via an ad every time you look at the instructions.
