Your outtakes make my day. Yesterday I was running a couple meetings and my words would just not come out.

The rya by fibremood is my favorite of what you showed. Its up a notch from the rest and the fabric is different than what ive seen. Some of those look like straight up jackets without a shirt look. Thankyou for all this work. Its on my list.

I made the Ilsa from Fibre mood in a caramel needlecord and it has become a favorite layering piece. Thanks for highlighting so many new-to-me patterns!

i hate the word "shacket" but i love the trend. i just made a Simplicity 9239 in denim and i absolutely love it. i want to make a couple more versions--a cropped one and a longer thigh-length one with a curved hem. i was considering the style arc pattern or the new hey june handmade for the longer version. i'm going to use the pattern scout cozi jacket with add-on pack for the cropped version. great video and it's wonderful that there are so many choices!

Yea, the word is odd, but I do love the trend too! I noticed that the Simplicity 9239 is out of stock online so it's a popular one. I was going to add the Hey June Handmade and forgot about the Pattern Scout Cozi Jacket. Those are both great options too! I agree, so many great options - I really like the longer curved hem ones 😃

I loved this array of options but you did such a GREAT job of showing all the patterns and their line drawings! Truly. Do that again in the future, I like it.

I still love my cardis, but this is coming in a close second! And thank you Shirley, for leaving a comment on the last video that there was a sound issue. I really appreciate it as I was able to look into it right away.

Love the Shackets! Thanks for all of the great pattern info. I have Simplicity 9388 and plan to make one each for my husband, father-in-law and hopefully, myself. All corduroy. Another great vlog Sharon! Thanks!

Yay, love the pattern recommendations. Hope this is still a trend in the spring cause we are past shacket season here in Minneapolis 😭 Thx for fixing the sound too
@SharonSews3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I'm so happy someone left a comment right away about the sound! I was able to fix it and re upload the video. The shacket could be a great indoor layering piece for you! I was always looking for loose-fitting (but cute!) layering pieces when we lived there. From what I can tell I think the trend is going to be here for awhile. Stay warm 😀

I want to make one. Got to check my stash to see if I already have the appropriate pattern and fabric. The calendar says fall but it was 91° yesterday.

Those are some great patterns. Most of them I hadn't heard of. By the way, the B6841 must be a reprint of M6613-I have the same pattern with the same pictures on the envelope. I recognized it right away. Thanks for sharing all of this!

Can you please share where you purchased the ultra-suede fabric? I think I'd like to try sewing a shacket with that material.
@SharonSews3 жыл бұрын
Jennifer, I have been trying to remember where I purchased it - but it was about two years ago and I just can't remember. I only recall that I bought it online. Try StyleMaker Fabrics, maybe you could get a sample first. Great idea for a shacket!

Sorry, I'm a hater ☹️. Not a fan of the "shacket." It reminds me too much of the CPO jackets of the 1970's. Feels like the fashion world was slacking and needed a new trend. Ah well, this too shall pass! ❤️😘

Now I know what I should give you as a gift BHAHAHA 😂 Just kidding my sweet friend. That's the beauty of art and fashion - we get to each decide what speaks to us!
