Thank you! I actually used this tutorial to add a zip on a different swimsuit pattern, liked the look of the Wave Rider so much, I've now got the pattern and really look forward to coming back to this excellent tutorial and sewing it!

How would you use the Wave Rider pattern to make a rash guard with a zip top to bottom? That’s the style of my favourite swimwear, with flutter sleeves, and I’m hoping to replicate it! Very easy to change in and out of, and flutter sleeves add some sun protection without the stifling feeling of tight sleeves (as well as being adorable!). I’m also unsure if you’d need to line it?

You have more confidence in me doing it that I do! But you made it look easy! 💪🏼

Did you omit the zipper guard?

This was greatly helpful. I just was pulling my new serger out of the box and I noticed it is the same machine you are using in this video. I kept thinking, while watching, that I hope my machine can sew on this type of swim material. Hah! It can. You just did.

Bonjour! I just bought this suit, having skin cancer I will be less exposed to the sun, why did you put a seam in the back? For color blocking? Thank you and have a wonderful day ! Christine 🇨🇦

Probably for shaping so it’s more fitting to the body:)

The supplies list suggests stretch serger thread for the loopers. If this is not an option, is there an acceptable substitute? I am having a hard time finding the stretch thread. TIA
