You are a great teacher, Vanessa. I wouldn't be the quilter/sewist today if not for you, wishing you the best.

If you are worried about your electronic machine, stick down a piece of painter's tape and draw a line. Or cut an old credit card or hotel key into several pieces. Stack the pieces to give a good "wall" to keep your fabric in line. Accuracy matters. 👍. 💝☀🌵

Very nice. Thank you. Sewing straight seams is one of the bugaboos of sewing.

An excellent tip to line up under the foot slit, and measure, thanks Vanessa! I love mine but use the guidelines, so this is a great help for me and my granddaughters! 👏😊

Thank you! I have wanted to use one of these for years, but only used the dreaded sticky notes, because I was told “you can’t use a magnet on a computerized machine”. I should have done my own research. Always question authority, lol. Can’t wait to get one of these!

Here's a little tip for removing this type of magnetic seam guide... Slip your fingertip under that little flange on the longer arm and you can pop the guide straight up to release it - this lets you remove the guide without having to slide it. This method works especially well for all metal vintage machines and helps avoid scratches. Thanks for the very helpful instructions on how to place the guide accurately! You always explain things so clearly. :-)

Hi thank you for sharing. I bought 2 magnetic guides. Unfortunately It cannot be used on my Husqvarna machine as the metal feet attract the guide. It is fine on my daughter’s Brother machine and a friend’s Janome. Kindest regards.

I had to stop using mine. When I used it on my Brother, I heard noises from inside the machine. Eventually I realized the super strong magnet was pulling the parts inside upwards. It quit when I stopped using it

@@nancyjegnew9805 Thanks Nancy. I asked because when I bought my expensive machine they told me to be careful about not putting anything magnetic on/near it - even magnetic pin container.

When I use this tool the stitches becomes unregulated. It looks like the magnet pulls the bobbin case.

Hers looked just fine though. I've ordered one of these tools & will be on the lookout for that! Mine bobbin case seems super snug & of course plastic bobbin. :D

Hello, my sewing maschine is a HUSQVARNA and the metal plate is too small for this little gem. I bought a similar in Germany, it looks like yours. It does not work because the metal plate is too small. Too much plastic at the plate, what a pity:-((( Greetings from Germany

I am embarrassed. I actually was going to pass on this video from the title. I thought why make this video as you just have to place it on the correct line. I was not aware some machines don’t have the numeral markings along with the lines. I also didn’t think of the changes needed not using the center point. Good video. Thanks
