Thank you for the pattern and the great tutorial! No need to apologize for your accent, it's lovely. I don't know how people in other countries feel about accents, but Americans love them, at least everyone I know does.

This is great! I appreciate the pace at which you demonstrate everything and how clearly you explained it all. I am a self-taught sewer going on 30 years now and am still learning things - you have helped me to understand better! Thank you! I hope I see more videos from you!

I have two questions. My son in laW is 6 feet 7 inches and has a 32 waist. what modifications should I make to the pattern for waist? Second , with the unavailability of elastic due to COVID -19, DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR MODIFICATIONS TO WAISTLINE TO ALLOW FOR DRAWSTRING ? Thank you. I cannot try them on him. He is 1500 miles away.
@SoSewEasy4 жыл бұрын
Hi Christine, Medium should work for him without any need for alterations, except length the kid in the picture is 6'3" and 34 inches wearing a large.

Do the pattern pieces have seam allowance already built in? I notice you are cutting a seam allowance around your pocket piece.
@SoSewEasy8 жыл бұрын
I am making the pocket larger because I am showing how to make the PJ one or 2 sizes larger in case you need to make the PJ's larger.
@violetgypsie8 жыл бұрын
Okay thank you.
@mdodson83367 жыл бұрын
how do you determine which size to use? Is it waist measurement or hip measurement?
@SoSewEasy7 жыл бұрын
Use the hips measurement.

Why do mens pyjama patterns no longer have a fly opening?! My hubs won't wear them without it. :P

It is the trend, I guess. You can always put one.

Hello, again ! I would like to know if, when you sew the elastic, do you sew it together with the fabric or just the elastic ? Thenk you for your answer! Veronica
@SoSewEasy7 жыл бұрын
Hi Veronica, yes I sew the elastic with the fabric. Just pull the elastic while sewing. It is a very quick way to do 2 things at once. Watch minute 10:54 where I start sewing the elastic.
@SoSewEasy7 жыл бұрын
You sew the elastic first to make a band. Working on the wrong side of the fabric pass the elastic (10:43), fold over the elastic (10:53) do not catch the elastic. Sew at the very edge (1/8").

Thank you for your video. I’m currently attempting to sew the pajama bottoms your site listed as a tutorial, including pattern pieces. It includes a 2 fly pattern pieces, but I’m having problems figuring out on your instructions which way the fly lays. All of the other website instructions I have found, only use 1 piece and cut and fold an area on the pants for one of the flys. Do you have a video that shows how to sew the fly on the your pajama pants pattern? It would help me a lot. Thanks!
@SoSewEasy4 жыл бұрын
You are in another pair of pajama with the fly front. I sent you do watch these video because the waist band is sewn the same.

Make a whole video again, when her only crime is being softly spoken? Just turn up your volume & switch on the subtitles, it's not hard. Maybe try to be grateful that she spoke English for us - she didn't have to.
