I haven't completely sewn the waistband yet, but I've got it all pinned and I'm sitting at my desk right now to test the stretch. I'm soooooo excited about this waistband. I might have to do this waistband on all my pants from now on. I made these pants for work (I am a delivery driver, so I do a lot of sitting in my car) and these are going to be absolutely perfect and soooooo comfy. thanks so much for your stream! I referenced this video so much, and having your expertise has been so helpful ❤️

I’m excited to try this waistband. The drawings in the instructions are okay but seeing video of how it goes together is infinitely better for me. I have no problem copying what I see someone doing but sometimes when I’m reading instructions my brain gets bored and it just sounds like “bla bla bla bla“ 😅 So thank you for doing what you do Saremy.

@@SewSewLive I went shopping today and found some gray herringbone and brown houndstooth wool blends. Couldn’t decide so I got both. I’m bringing this project to work on this weekend when I’m going on a sewing “retreat” at my local community centre with some friends.

Love the final pants! They look so good. Question, how would you suggest I determine whether the crotch length would be too long on me before I make them? Ideas to determine if I would need the larger bum?

Did you see my Cutting live stream Eliza? I compared the Mitchell rise to them and tried to determine just this. I do think they’re a little long in the front rise for me and I’m going to lower the waist. I’d measure a pair of pants you know and compare them. It looks like the bum difference is 1”. And I’m hoping they have detailed help on their website to determine if it’s right for you. I don’t have a small bum, but it fits in all pants I sew. If your patterns routinely need adjusting in the seat, try the larger bum!

I might! I’m planning on lowering the waistband. My schedule is tight right now. It may just be something I do during Workshop in the Guild. I’ll certainly post some photos.
