I’ve done it!! 😂 January is my least favorite month of the year due to my health. This January I’ve watched ALL your vlogs! Yes all of them (after finding your channel during vlogmas)😁 thank you so much for keeping me company while I was on my couch not having the energy to do anything else. I really like your channel, you inspire me to make more garments. Love your personality and to see the joy every time you do an unboxing. To see the excitement is contagious. Keep up the good work!

You can do this. Motivation of a holiday will get you there. I absolutely love all patterns and fabric choices. You will look amazing on holiday. As for weight gain, I’m in that club. When I met my husband at age 34, I was a size 8. Now age 64, size 14 and I’m only 5’ 2”😢 Anyhow, although I don’t like the weight gain, I try my best to lose some weight, doesn’t always stay off but making my own clothes now helps a little. Loved your video. Xx❤

Great plans, Ruan. I'll be on my holibobs at the same time, so I'm busily making stuff for it, too 😊 for the shirt, if you really want to have the tails and still wear it as a dress you could insert side godets (think that's how to spell it! Those little triangle things are what I mean 😅) x

4 incredible fabrics - hope you make something with the leftovers as they look amazing together - one of those scrap buster projects. I think you might do it. I just completed the Nova coat and it was quite easy. Mind it took me a year - but that was 11 months thinking. Have a great holiday - shoes will be a dream with all your coordinating fabric. I absolutely love everything you've described. Party On !!

Just saw a vlog by So Sarah Sews date @ 1/14/24 and she made the Pattern Emporium Very Oversized Shirt in 3 different fabrics and views - one for herself, her sister and a dress/coverup version for her Mom - she had some specific tips if you were going to sew it as a dress especially with the rounded hem so if you've got time it would be well worth tuning in for that part and for some good pictures of them made up - she puts markers on her vlog so you should be able to watch just that part. Anyway, I love all your planned Holiday makes and just love the pinks and reds together - they will all look fabulous on you. Will look forward to seeing them - modeled at your vacation location of course!

I love all your plans Ruan and am especially excited to see your completed Dovestone dress - stunning fabric and pattern combo! I made my mum an Ocean Daze for Christmas in the dress length and the shirt tail hem thingy and found the sides came up too high to be wearable as is, so you might want to consider adjusting the curve. ☺️ Can’t wait to see all your beautiful dresses!

I noticed a new free pattern on my email that will be perfect for trip to Spain. I wasnt planning on taking anything that was a dress...(not a dress person) but this jumpsuit I might find room for in my carry-on. Check out the new freebie from Mood patterns called "the Sunday morning jumper". Perfect for beach cover, strolling on the promenade on the beach or rooftop bars watching the sunsets. I think it'll be that one dressy (not dress) thing. Over bathing suit or over a strappy Tee with a built-in bra. Pant legs need to be wider. Have a look at it.

I wouldn't worry about the nova coat or any other plans.Your holiday makes are the priority so make all of them first. Your nova coat and plans can. be made when you come home. I love your choice of patterns and fabrics.

I'm in the same place as you with the weight issue - similar gain over the same period. I'm off on holiday the week before you and am in process of creating yet another holiday wardrobe. At least it means justifiable makes rather than sewing for the sake of it 😂. Love all the plans and look forward to seeing the finished makes

It’s like a ribbon but with holes in it so the ribbon looks like a ladder 😊
