I enjoyed your vlogs this week. Is putting a zipper in the top of the bag tricky?

Your boys are adorable!! The cake looks delish!!! It is so great of you to make your mum a bag for her trip. New Zealand is so beautiful! I definitely want to go back someday. Just love these vlogs that sprinkle in everyday life!❤❤❤❤❤

A kimono style robe for over jeans or white trousers or even a costume? Pyjamas would also be lovely. Your vlogs are always fun to watch 😊

That fabric is GORGEOUS! ❤ I need it... where do I find it????? 🤔 I would make a floaty maxi skirt... I say that, but in truth, I've never made an item of clothing 😂😂😂

Good day: First of all you are so much fun to watch-and I loved your imitation of the "Lion" from the "Wizard of OZ"-he is my favorite character!! :+) The Fleur is GORGEOUS!! Don't change a thing!! You could always try the ribbon on your next top!!

I have that fabric. I made a Style Arc Summer Cover Up in it and I love it. 😊

Definitely not tired of your vlogs. That fabric would look pretty using that peppermint magazine wide strapped dress. It wouldn't break up the print much.

Great to see you again. The fabric is great. I think Andrea from the Pink Door is amazing I can’t believe what she organises each month for the boxes as well as running the shop etc.

Stunning! So many great suggestions already! Kimonos, palazzo pants, gorgeous. I think that the rickrack would really be nice on a solid navy. The print would dilute the effect. A sailor style blouse, maybe, with rickrack around the collar and cuffs. I’m afraid that rickrack would add too much body to the bottom of pajamas, with that nice, swishy fabric.

Hi Ruan! I just received my very 1st BTPD Box. Being in the US (Maryland) I was surprised how fast it arrived. I received the same fabric, woohoo! I am thinking the Matchy Matchy Tie Jumpsuit or the Coco wide leg pants by Pattern Emporium. Happy Sewing 🪡 🧵

I love this box! I was so excited about the project pad! It’s beautiful 😊. The fabric is beautiful. I have the other colorway. I actually got my box on Monday. I’m thinking of Safiya pants. Something lounge around pants. No, we are never tired of seeing you 😊. See you soon. Thank you for sharing! Your friend Diane ❤

Thanks for sharing your week with us Ruan, your Mum's bag looks great , I love the colours, I am sure she will treasure it. When my boys were younger they threw a bag of sandwiches behind a bookshelf, I could smell mould for weeks and didnt know where it was coming from. 😱your prawn story made me laugh !!!

Ooh lovely fabric. I see a boho floaty skirt, but palazzo pants would be so fun! Another comment suggested a kimono style topper, that would be so pretty with jeans, or over a plain dress.... the possibilities are limitless! Keep on blogging whenever you have something to share. I watching while having my afternoon tea break.

I love that fabric. The other one is different- Liberty cotton which I got. It is lovely but I prefer the tile print. And I only got 2 sweets😮. I would make a long sarong style skirt with the tile print. Haven’t a clue what to make with the cotton yet but plenty of other things to get on with. 😊 Lynne

Okay there's this youngen' KZbinr who makes these patchwork empire waist strapless dresses with massive fun skirts.... I would tone down the skirt and maybe just make a super fun summer maxi! Also.... Do you serge the ends of your fabric before you wash it and sew it?? Or am I the only crazy one? Lol I am a recent subscriber and just love your videos!

I surge mine and this one is fraying already. Ruan recently said that she doesn't surge. But for me, it serves 2 purposes. I know the fabric has been washed if the ends are surged as I do it immediately before I put it in the machine.
@imamonstr19 сағат бұрын
@@KarenScott6 that's so true ! I know what fabrics have been washed from my stash if the ends are serged. I also would hate to have a piece I made shrink on me. Ruan strikes me as a person who would make up their fabric right away though!
@kazuritribeСағат бұрын
With most fabrics, I overlock both cut ends together, rather than separately. Particularly rayon or viscose. Doesn’t tangle in the wash and doesn’t lose threads either.

Been great having your blogs every day, so much fun. Your mums bag looks great, hardware look good & think she is going to be so pleased with it. When you mentioned the awful smell in the playroom I guessed the problem would be something to do with prawns. I saw recently on the tv that a couple who had split up - the chap had gone off with someone else. Her revenge was to put prawns in the curtain rails & the smell was horrendous. Thanks again Ruan.😊
