I’m so glad that I found your channel! It popped up in my feed. I love your personality and your sewing makes! I mostly sew for my 4 year old daughter but am having a son anyway now and can’t wait to make him little outfits. They DO grow quickly though so I have to be intentional about what I make. I want to sew more items for myself (I don’t) and want to be able to plan it out like this. I get overwhelmed quickly so usually just do quick sews when I have that inkling to be creative. Can’t wait to see more videos from you. I love your style

I started it at the end of last summer 😂 but I had given birth a few months before and didn't get time to finish it and then realised I likely wouldn't be feeling confident enough to wear it but I'm 10000% going to finish it for this spring/ summer. I am excited to see your Esme skirt! I am so excited to make mine, I just ordered it last night and sent it to The Foldline to print, haha, because I don’t have time to piece together patterns any more! My plan is to start on the Esme skirt in April. So let’s both make sure that by the end of April we have an Esme skirt in our lives!!! The Plumeria top is soooo gorgeous!!!! I really love this whole idea. And this is the style I'm into. I understand when you say that you weren't feeling yourself /beautiful last spring. Motherhood is tough. I have a big 8yo boy and when I was starting to feel myself and pretty again we decided to have another kid, and 2022 was a rough year. I'm really happy to go through this phase with your help. Denim Pair #2 make your legs look miles long! Winner. IMHO the vest-skirt combination you're considering would be on-trend and surprisingly versatile, including in the shoulder seasons. Depending on the fabric choice it could be worn belted for a defined waist, or open for a boxy oversized look. With a different underlayer (polo neck, blouse, T shirt or bralette) and footwear (colored tights, trainers, heels, boots) you can change the look completely. The pattern choices you've made, like the wide leg linen pants and wrap mini skirt and the Aura dress, suit your style perfectly and will get a lot of wear. Ballet shoes are fine occasionally but can be hard on your feet if you walk a lot. I like the idea of investing in a pair of shoes that support your feet well when you do a lot of standing and walking. It's worth it to keep your feet looking and feeling beautiful into old age! To me, the intrecciato handbag looks like hard work, relative to unpredictable results. If I had so many other projects going, I think I'd rather invest my time in the clothing and just buy a bag. There are nice budget options new, and preowned high quality bags, that would probably make you happier than braiding denim. Who knows? Everybody can relate to the experience of needing a style re-set. You're adorable as you are. You can expect great success with the wardrobe goals. A good haircut, good footwear and one good belt make everything else you're wearing that day look elevated. I look forward to seeing your projects. Thank you for sharing your process!

I am in desperate need of a haircut!!! Haha! Yes the 2nd pair really add so much height and make my legs long! Regarding the bag it was more the shape that I would probably go for rather than the woven style, and yes, it’s only if I make my “definitely list” that I will consider that. I agree with you on the vest and skirt combo I feel like it would get so much wear with the right fabric and the right styling!!! I am very tempted to make it for sure. They still have a classic, sleek profile, but you might be able to find some that are more supportive than flats. Sooo excited to see your new outfits come together!!

Love the sewing plans. I bought the Protea pants right away when it launched. I thought it was so freaking cute. I like how you can make them out of structured fabric or soft drapey fabric. As for the jeans, I vote for #2. I think those looked the best on you. Very cute!!

I did a little bit of a finding my style video, maybe that can help. Basically style changes, but it's good to know your body type, and the colours that look best for you! This will help you in choosing patterns for your body and colours in your fabric! And choose clothes that fit your lifestyle, then you can wear them a lot! Hope this helps! X

Hi, I plan to use a lot of French seams, wherever possible. If not, I will be overlocking the seams with a zig zag stitch, and maybe also explore the option of a flat fell seam. X

I LOVE the green linen for the wrap skirt but I think that it depends on whether you would wear it with pink and white, which I probably would, but if you wouldn't you should go with the navy! Love these pieces; they're SO cohesive and I think both jeans look great as long as you feel comfortable in them (I have my doubts about the lighter shade comfortwise altho the color is *chefs kiss*

Yeah I feel like the green would work with a nice white shirt or even the blue shirt I am wearing in the video, but the navy would be much more easy to style and become a staple! Oh I agree. The blue jeans even though are great, when I realised how restricting they are I felt I could do better, I am all about comfort!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Are you going to line your linens garments? I want to make linen things but I feel like it’s too see-through! Also beware: if you shorten the Aura wrap dress it might make the skirt opening too big, you might need to extend jt to wrap further around your body so it doesn’t flap open

I have given a lot of thought to the shortening the Aura dress, and I defo have to test it, and make some tweaks to the pattern in order for it to work. I am not going to line the linen garments, with tops I tend to wear a nude bra (not white, white stands out) and it tends to be fine. With trousers / skirts also nude underwear plus the Aura dress and the mini skirt are wrap so it should be fine I think. I don’t like the idea of lining linen I feel like it would remove the breathe-ability of the garment. X thanks for watching.
