Hello, Cindy, thank you so much for watching and for such a kind comment, it means so much to me! I’m so glad you enjoyed the Tour! I’d been putting it off for awhile, telling myself to wait until it was perfectly organized but not everyone’s sewing spaces are like that so I went ahead and shared before I had to pack it all away to move into our new home. Thanks for your understanding of real life scenarios, haha! Hope you’re having a great week, Cindy! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany

Thank you for showing your sewing room. I too have a sewing room/ guest room with a queen sofa bed that has become a dumping ground. I’m retired and the mess upsets my husband : I’m in the process of putting my yardage in large 2x3 bins to get it out of the way. I understand why you have the goal to sew from your stash. Since 2020 I began to sew most of my clothes. The pandemic pushes me into that and I love to spend time in my sewing room. I love the energy you bring to your sewing hobby. Thanks again for sharing.

Hello, Judith, thank you so much for watching and for such a sweet comment, it means so much to me! Aw, our spaces sound very similar, that bed was definitely a problem area for me. I wish I could have eliminated the bed, it would’ve freed up a lot of space for storage! It sounds like you’re doing a great job to find solutions for your sewing space! It’s a daunting task for sure! And yes, I had a big affirmation about my stash challenge as I was boxing up all the beautiful fabrics I have in my stash, haha, I’ll probably doing this stash challenge for years 😂 Thanks so much for chatting with me, Judith! Great tour! So excited to see how you set up your new space! Maybe you can even show us what your space will be like in your camper if you do have to stay in it. We have been in our new home for a little over a year and I still don’t have my sewing room completely the way I want it. The more I use it the more I realize how I want things and then I change it around, lol. Enjoy this season of moving, I know it can be stressful but memories can still be made 😊

Love seeing your sewing room! It seems like every sewing room has some clutter. You made good use of the space. We use so many products, it's hard to keep organized, very study ,yet handy. I used to use the fold out cutting tables, but now I love my Better Homes and Gardens sewing table, with storage underneath (Amazon). I also have a cubed storage unit for fabric, books, etc... It is 3 cubes high, by 4 long (15.3'xDx 43.3"Hx%57.4W, turned on it's side). So, it sits under a large window and has a TV on it too. I also added another 3x1 cube unit to one side (both BH&G, Amazon again) I also have a 36"Wx 20"Dx72"H double door cabinet that holds my elastic, trims, zippers, larger pattern envelopes, rolled PDF patterns, and extra thread, etc (FB Marketplace). I put a full-sized mirror on the outside of one door. Love it. My sewing room is a finished room in a very large shop building. Thought I would love being out there by myself, but I find I miss my hubby and pets! Sorry to be so wordy, but so thrilled with my storage, I just had to let you know. Thanks for showing us around.

You certainly have maximized your space! My sewing/art room is 9x11. It was my son's room, and then my office when I worked from home. I'm retired now, so it is strictly my "happy space"! I also paint in acrylics, so on one side is my large floor easel, a table in the corner with a table easel and all my paint brushes, etc. My paint tubes and canvases are in the closet. I have a long table with my sewing machine and serger on it. I have a tall bookcase that I bought at a thrift shop where I have my fabric and patterns. Next week I have a cutting table coming from Amazon. Right now I keep my ironing board out to use as a work table. I will hang it behind the door when my cutting table arrives. I have been cutting out my patterns either on my dining table or bed with a foldable cardboard mat. (I've had it forever!) I'm really looking forward to seeing your new sewing room all set up and organized! Take care!

Best of luck setting up your new sewing room! Creative Grids are my favorite rulers. I have found the best way to store them is on a large peg board that my husband made me. He took some of his leftover peg board ( you can buy it by the sheet at a hardware store), painted it and put a frame on the back outside edges so that it it has space for pegs and could be hung on the wall. For my A-1 printed patterns, I have expandable Manila envelopes. For my traced patterns, I hole punch them, run a clip ring through them and also hang them on my peg board if I am using them. Put the rings on a hanger and hang them on the closet if I am not. Hope you get into your new house soon!❤

You are so organized in a small place. I can’t wait to see your new room. I moved last year, we downsized but one of the bedroom in the new house there is a bedroom that is 10 feet by 20. Room for all my machines and fabrics! Plus my heat press and computers. I live it and I find I sew even more! We camp a lot in the summer and I bought a new machine. I took some of my spare woven fabric and I am making dresses for Dress a Girl around the world . Since the collection is in September I am glad to get some done.

I think you have done well with the space you have had to work in. Since you already have similar items grouped together, organizing it in a larger space shouldn’t be too bad. I’m surprised at the size of your stash. I thought it would be so much bigger 😂. My sewing space is in a bedroom with a queen sized bed also. I have fabric (on wire shelves and in bins) and notions (in boxes/containers) in the closet. My husband cut sanded plywood to fit on top of the wire shelving so the fabric doesn’t get snagged or fall through. Excited to see your new sewing room tour!

Hi Tiffany. Thanks for your sewing room tour! I'm also packing up for a move and the hardest part is packing up my sewing room because of all the different sized containers, notions, and sewing related projects. I also have a BL Crescendo machine (LOVE IT!), but only have a soft cover for it. Been wracking my brain on how best to pack it and my surger, like your Brother. My sewing space and guest room "dumping ground" next to it - looks like you filmed at my house!!! I'm still trying to figure out how to store my patterns after my move. Like you, I'm both a quilter and garment sewer, so we have A LOT of sewing items and fabric types!!! Been scouring YT for sewing room tours to get ideas. Good luck with your move!

Hello, Dori, thank you so much for watching and for such a kind comment, it means so much to me! Aw, yes, we’re definitely going through similar circumstances at the moment, moving is exhausting, as I’m sure you’re experiencing too! I completely agree, the sewing room is a daunting task because of the all the varied sized of containers and such. I’ve packed most of my fabric in clear plastic totes and most of my notions in moving boxes. There are some odd shaped things that just won’t fit in boxes so we’ll be hand carrying those to the new house probably. Just a ton of Logistics decisions to make 🙈 If you ever need to vent, I’m here for you, Dori 😉 Thanks so much for chatting with me, Dori! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany

Enjoyed your sewing room tour! Excited to see your new sewing space in your new home !! I have a lot of the basement for my crafting area. The sewing part takes up about half of that space 😂. Right now my sewing area is torn apart due to my hubby and I want to put down some vinyl tiles so in the mean time I am going through all my sewing things from fabric to tools to bins, etc. I cleared off my cutting table enough to cut a small sized dress and I either sew in my living room at home or Upnorth in my camper. I am blessed to have two sewing machines so I do not have to tote it back and forth. God bless !!

@@hoosierhandmade22 You are too sweet Tiffany! To sew in my camper I keep my second machine stored on the floor by my kitchen table ( it is an actual table with 4 chairs). When I sew, I put my sewing machine on my kitchen table, with my sewing supplies at the ready 😊. I have a cutting board on my kitchen counter, by the sink area, that use as my ironing board , I put a towel over the cutting board for a smoother surface. I bring the projects to sew in a tote bag I made from camper fabric. When I have finished sewing for the day I put everything back and take it out again the next time I want to sew. I have tried my bed in our camper to cut things out but it didn’t work very well for me. Have a great day !! Can’t wait to see your Fridays Sews today !!!

Hello, Ambre, thank you so much for watching and for such a kind comment, it means so much to me! I so appreciate your tips on fabric storage! I’ve thought a lot about rolling my fabric as well. I’ve done that for my remnant pieces and really like it! I’ll keep that in mind for my new sewing room. Thanks so much for the suggestion and for chatting with me, Ambre! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany

If you move into the camper, bring Josh's quilt with you. The secret project! I loved your your tour! So many things that work for you. The expanded space will make such a difference. Looking forward to seeing the new space take place! ❤

Hello, Cheryl, thank you so much for watching and for such a kind comment, it means so much to me! Great idea about bringing Joshs quilt, that would an easy project for me to work on in my limited camper space. Thank you for the idea! And you’re exactly right, I think the added space from my new sewing room will make a world of difference for me…or at least I hope so! 😂🙈 Hope you are having a great week, Cheryl! Thank you for sharing your sewing space with us, Tiffany. You have made good use of the space you have and I know you will be thrilled to have a new space in which to create. All I do in my sewing space is sew (and rip out), but my cutting is done on my kitchen island or dining room table. One day I hope to be able to do everything in one room. I worked at our local yarn shop until it closed, so you can imagine the amount of yarn I had. I say had, because I gifted quite a bit of it to my sister-in-law who knits hats and scarves for homeless teens. Enjoy your new home and your new sewing space.

Hello, Carol, thank you so much for watching and for such a kind comment, it means so much to me! Aw, I loved hearing about your sewing space! Yes, I can sympathize with the dining room table cutting out, I did that for awhile before I bought my cutting table. I hope you can move into one room soon! What a great idea for your yarn! My sister loves to crochet and at this rate, I’ll never crochet fast enough to use up all this yarn I’ve found😂 so I need to be passing my yarn stash along too! Thanks for the inspiration, Carol, hope your week is going great! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany

I don't know if you know it but that mat will dull your rotary blades quickly. I put a self healing mat on top of that mat when I can extend my table fully. Love your sewing room. Can't wait to see your new sewing room.

Hello, Diane, thank you so much for watching and for your kind comment, it means so much to me! Oh I’m not sure I did know that about the rotary blades. That’s a really smart solution to use a self healing mat as well, I’ll have to remember that. Thanks so much for chatting with me, Diane! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany

I sew in a corner of my bedroom. I have notions and supplies on the otherside of the room. I cut out fabric on my kitchen table which is counter height. I have three mechanical sewing machines and one computerized sewing machine.

Don't throw out your white board. Upgrade for sure. Mine broke in half, I was heart broken and threw it out in distress. But there have been many times since that I thought if I had kept half I would have a place to lay something out that could be moved.

You know…it doesn’t seem like you have a TON of fabric 😂 I also see some fabrics that are also in my stash! I’d be very interested in you taking a deep dive into the fabric in your stash! I’d love to learn more about those precious fabrics you have. Maybe a “good, the bad, and ugly: fabric edition” 🤔

Hello, Cassie! Thank you so much for watching and for such a fun comment! I absolutely adore that video idea, it would be so much fun to share my fabrics! There’s definitely some that come to mind in all 3 of those categories 😂 Thanks for the great suggestion, Cassie, hope you’re having a great week! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany

Wow! You’ve managed to store a lot in that room! My sewing room is also a bedroom but it doesn’t have a bed in it. My guest bedroom is downstairs. I’m still working on organizing but when I get tired of that I do work on a project. Since I finished the Sagebrush I’m working on a new summer blouse. You’ll have so much fun setting up your new room. You’ve learned a lot about what works and what doesn’t work in this room!

Hello, Cathy, thank you so much for watching and for such a kind comment, it means so much to me! It would have been so helpful to not have the bed in room with me but that’s how we had to set it up. I’m so glad you have space to move your guest room to another part of the house! And I don’t blame you one bit about switching between organizing and sewing, that’s really smart actually to help with burnout! Great strategy, Cathy, thank you for sharing with me! Hope you’re having a great week! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany

I was wondering why you were apologizing for your room so much, until Lol…you showed your bed. Lol…All good though. I’m just joking with you. No judgment. At least you are blessed with your own space. It’s yours to do what you want with. Thanks for bravely sharing. I’m looking forward to seeing the new space . My sewing room has a guest bed in it and I want it gone but can’t. I have it against the wall with a nice matching comforter over it. It doesn’t look like a bed. I thought about using it as my design wall. My sewing room is my favorite space in my home. I love my desk and peg boardI got from IKEA. The desk has lots of drawers. My Pfaff performance icon is my favorite thing in my room. Enjoy setting up your new space.

Hello! Thank you so much for watching and for commenting, it means so much to me! Lol! Yes, the bed was definitely a problem area of my room, I would’ve loved to have eliminated the bed and added more storage but that’s in the past now and hopefully I’ll have lots of storage solutions in the new room! I LOVED hearing about your sewing space, it sounds like a lovely spot to create in! I love all the IKEA furniture, I’ll definitely be looking into those when I got to set up my new room! Thanks so much for chatting with me! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
