Sewing room wall art: make it yourself

Your sewing space is somewhere you spend some quality time being creative, so make it a more inspirational spot to hang out in with sewing room wall art you make yourself. This is a cheap DIY project and it'll get those beautiful vintage sewing patterns you have out of a box and up on display. You could also do this for any fashion illustrations you might have.

I use my old patterns. Im a tailor and i use pattern pieces to mix and match and design, so i wouldnt want to put them in a frame. So i scanned some of my old pattern covers that were my favorite and printed them and framed them. 😉 made great wall art for my sewing room.

I just emptied out my late parents ‘ home this week. I saved tons of vintage patterns. I will definitely do this and hang them above my mom’s sewing cabinet which I will be using.

Great idea Elizabeth. I have a simplicity calender from 2018 with large pattern illustrations for each month, I'm going to be framing those to hang in my sewing space.

That's a great idea Claire! Simplicity and McCalls have done such a great job releasing some of that older artwork in planners and notecards and calendars, and repurposing them is all the better!
