I'm in awe of all these makes, particularly because they fit you so perfectly! And the koi fabric is my favorite of the three lovely options.

It was lovely to se Thoday's name checked - they had a branch in Norwich and it's where I bought my first ever patterns and fabric. It was a really big shop! it was there into at least the 90s - I only 50 and I was shopping there in my teens! Having quality dressmaking shops in the high street feels like a world ago but it's not actually that long ago.

Everything you made is so beautiful, you look absolutely stunning! I know you said that the pale green blouse was outside of your comfort zone, but I have to say that I think you look absolutely amazing! So beautiful and elegant! I imagine that blouse paired with jade jewelry, and a little round vintage purse with bamboo handles.

Love your videos - you share patterns I wouldn't come across otherwise and I really enjoy your presenting style. I’m in my 50s and remember going to Gordon Thoday with my mum as a child in the ‘70s. The shop in Norwich had fabric downstairs and the pattern room upstairs had rows of high tables and stools with huge catalogues of the pattern books that you could flip through before selecting the patterns (in retrospect perhaps everything seemed huge because I was a small child).

Love that green wrap top. The fabric and style are lovely! The other fabrics, wow, so beautiful. I can’t decide if I love the koi carp or mountains more.

Simplicity celadon green blouse, wow. Frames your face perfectly, and evokes the 1910s and 1930s in the best way. Moreso than the 1970s, even. Home run. I'm going to have a harder look at patterns now. I admit I'd have walked right past that pattern on a store shelf based on the drawings, so I would've missed how fantastic the real thing is. Tencel blend fabric: I checked the site...go for the bamboo blue/white! It reminds me of another blue/white top you wore a long while ago and suited you so well. Quilted fabric for jacket: I agree with your choice of a water repellent fabric. A damp quilted cotton jacket would be the pits. Both sides of your fabric would work on you. If you already have a charcoal or camel colored jacket, why not just choose the opposite. I wouldn't worry about casual dirt, both sides can handle it. Coordinating with boot and bag colors is another way to nudge a tough choice. BTW: if you go with the charcoal, which has a nice cosmopolitan energy about it, you could choose an interesting contrast color for the piping. Neon green, to set you apart from the masses. Reflective tech fabric, to keep you safer in dark winter traffic. Magenta. Can't wait to see the finished product. I'm going to get that Core fabric dress pattern. I couldn't get excited about a T-shirt dress; this is just different enough to be worth it. Thanks for another inspiring edition. Keep sewing and showing good stuff.

Love your 1970s blouses/shirts! Especially the wrap tops. I just made (I say just made, as it sits on my dress form awaiting buttons, buttonholes and hem...) a 70s blouse pattern with tucks and a really-quite-modest-for-the-decade collar in a light blue chambray fabric. I'm not in a rush to finish it as I generally find drapier tops easier to wear, but I just really wanted to sew something in a nice stable cotton for a change. I'm also planning a pair of jeans and a wool coat by the end of the year. I mean, I doubt those are both happening, but we can dream. Good luck with your trouser and jacket plans!

I really want to learn to make clothes for my body type and adjust the patterns.

Lovely to see another video from you, thank you! I am still afraid of sewing trousers with a fly front. But I adapted the StyleArc Bob pants to look like the Coe pants… accidentally. Really fun seeing your beautiful garments and getting ideas, too! I miss some of the U.S. fabric stores I grew up with here in Philadelphia - they just fell by the wayside as ready-to-wear got cheaper and fewer people sewed, but they were special places. And spring is coming closer every day!

Your vintage blouses are gorgeous! I love the purple floral and teal mountain prints the best. I recently downloaded the tie dress. Yours looks so amazing. You've inspired me to make that pattern up, and to get a black dress in my wardrobe! I noticed that when it's chilly, the item I reach for the most is a floral print flannel shirt that I made a few years ago, so I finally making another flannel shirt. This time is in a fine plaid print, but in my favorite colors of purple and teal. 😁

I like the black dress the most. Thanks for sharing your projects. I plan on a black sheath dress in black ponte. Dress it up or down, it will be divine. I'm finishing up a striped cotton shirt today and maybe start the Co trousers tonight. I'm making mine out of heavy black stretch fabric. I plan on some easy knot tops and dresses. I have ideas for others but its best that I let the ideas gel in my head for a while.

Thanks I enjoy your videos. I’ve almost finished a front twist fitted pencil dress in a stretch embellished zebra print (it really is better than it sounds) which will be great for Xmas dinners. One of the best patterns I’ve bought from Burda. Will be making it in a deep red stretch velvet next. Problem is that I haven’t adjusted for my shorter shoulder width so the back with a zip doesn’t lay flat. Figuring out how to fix without ripping out the invisible zip that has been sewn in perfectly!
