As always Anna produces an incredible Tutorial and demonstration of the sewing machine that she's presenting. Her demeanor and personality is so calming and easy to listen to. Well done

I went to the studio for a look and had a demonstration whilst I was there …. It’s a fab machine and Anna was an excellent demonstrator …. I’ve just bought the machine and I think it’s well worth the price tag, especially as there’s a sale at the moment ….looking forward to making my first garment, not long to wait now!

I'm going to buy this one. I've decided. I wanted the HD9 but that one only does straight stitch which is fine but not really for the price.

Ok Anna, you seem to know what you are talking about with this machine. I purchased mine August 8 2022 and have had mostly a very bad experience with it. Just FYI, I don't consider myself to be a professional sewist, nor am I a beginner. I have been sewing since I was 14 years old and am now 71 years old and have had New Home/Janome machines since the beginning of my sewing adventure and generally have loved working with them. This new Janome has been giving me fits. I have had it in for repairs and regular maintenance more that normal. The original dealer said there is nothing he can do about the repeated problem and also that it is not covered under any warranty.Now for the issue: the bobbin keeps jumping out of position and jamming the machine. I hae replaced the bobbin casing 16 times since about 3 weeks after I purchased it and still no resolve has been found. For the passed month it has been working very well as of last evening. However, this morning it has decided to completely lose the tension on the bobbin thread and I can't seem to get it back to working order. Any advise you can give would be greatly appreciated as this was not an inexpensive machine and my retirement funds would not be very happy to replace it. Thank you in advance, Deborah

Hi Deborah, sorry to hear you're having issues with your machine. If you email your enquiry about the bobbin tension problems to sales@thesewingstudio.co.uk one of our team may be able to give you some support. If you're local to us (Redruth, Cornwall) we also do service machines and so can take a look at it.

@@SewingStudio Thank you for your kind attention to my plight, however I am in the USA and can't see that shipping my machine to you or bringing it to you in person is going to be possible in my future. Again, thank you, will hopefully find the right technician in my area or a new machine may be in my future.

What is the thickest thread you can use with this sewing machine? Like the one you used with the leather. Thank you
@SewingStudio
@SewingStudio 8 ай бұрын
The thread used in the video with the leather is Guterman Top stitch thread which is 30wt. The top tension was reduced by 1 number and a size 18 leather needle was used.

Maggie can you tell me how long the machine is with the tray attached. I’m not sure if I have enough room for this beast

Hello! It's 32 inches in length and 16 inches wide once you have the tray attached.

@@SewingStudio thanks. I took the plunge and bought one. Just got it yesterday. Sat for hours playing with all the fun features. I do have another question about the embroidery. I know you can change the spacing between the the design however can you make them bigger or smaller? Like the lettering, is it always that one size.
@SewingStudio

@@juliecarrolltontx2948 Hello! You can't change the sizing of the letters or motifs, they are fixed within the presets. However, as you say, you can change the spacing between them. Have fun with your new machine & happy sewing!

Would you recommend this machine over the Janome Hd9 for bag making, especially with fabrics like denim and leathers.
@SewingStudio
@SewingStudio 8 ай бұрын
Hi Shanice, if you like to make bags with thicker fabrics day in day out, then the HD9 would be the best option for this. If you make the occasional bag but require more than a straight stitch, then the MC6700p would serve you well. Happy sewing!

With a healthy price tag! Only half the viewers could afford this without the payment plan, paying $250 more for the machine. 😢

Your pronunciation of “Janome” is seriously wrong. The word is properly spoken “Ja - Nown”. English rules, vowels at the end is “silent” and first vowel is long. Check out “how to pronounce Janine”.

Bless your heart. I'm sure everyone is grateful for your small lecture on how English words are supposed to be pronounced correctly, however, she is in fact pronouncing it the way the company pronounces it. Every janome dealer I have ever been to, including the ones who have gone to classes to specifically work on janome machines, and when you call the customer service line, all of them pronounce it the way she does. In the end, if a company dictates how their name is pronounced, I don't think English rules really matter.
