Thank you so much!!! I have a Singer Fashion mate 3333 (basically the same model) and when I went to sew today I was absolutely crushed when my machine was acting weird - it was going insanely slow when I pushed on the pedal. This is my first sewing machine and I've only been using it for about 2 - 3 months consistently and I didn't even know you were meant to clean sewing machines out! I was looking online and loads of other people said It might be a pedal thing but I've just cleaned it out (for the first time - it was so messy in there), gave it a few test stitches on scrap fabric and it's back to how it usually is. I haven't added any oil so I've ordered some online, this will at least buy me a few days before it arrives (and saved me from buying a new £30 pedal). Thanks again!!!

Right, buying a new foot pedal wouldn't have fixed the problem, so would have the same trouble and out the money too. Tips: Put a scrap of fabric over the needle opening in the needle plate when changing a needle so if the needle drops it won't go down into the machine. To get the bobbin case out easily, remove the needle plate and the needle; turn the hand wheel toward you until the race hook opening is on the left at about the 10 o'clock position then slightly turn the bobbin case towards the left as you're lifting it up and out.

I don't know how, but the bobbin case ended up in the wrong position. I managed to get it out then repositioned it as you show here. I realised it was in the wrong spot because it was difficult to get the bobbin out. The metal bit was on the right. Then watching this video confirmed it and now it's back in the right spot, with the little bit of tension as you say.

What to do if the needle threader is stuck? It won't thread the needle when I push it back up, that's the main problem, but when I push it down, it won't go back up on it's own

I cannot get the bobbin case out no matter what I do, and I had to stop trying because I was about to literally break a part of my machine...it seems this video edits out the part where there clearly was a struggle to get the bobbin case out, so my question is, is there some trick or easier way to get this bobbin case out that i'm missing or not seeing? because i'd like to clean under it, but I can't get it out. Thank you = )

This looks to be a trouble machine. I wish I never bought it. It’s only 4 months in and so many issues and no help.
