Thank you so much for sharing this! I'm just venturing out into sewing things other than just hemming a pair of pants lol. I've been using the dreaded "dust cover" that came with my cricut as well. I just made this cover! I'm so proud of myself. You've done so much more than show me how to make a cricut cover. You've made me feel good about myself and givenme confidence to try other sewing projects. So, again, thank you🥰🥰

Thank you for sharing this fantastic video on how you made a dust cover for your Cricut. Like you, I need to make one and the simplicity of this one certainly has inspired me to get in my craft room to put one together for my Cricut Maker 3. I might try to design an outer pocket to hold some of the accessories.

Glad it was helpful! An outer pocket will not be too difficult. If you can't figure it out, let me know.

That's the goal! You CAN do it!! Trust me, you can! If you watch some of my other tutorials, I walk you through step by step to show you how to and why you need to do the steps. Slow starting out but take your time..... rushing produces a sloppy project anyway! You got this!! : )

You're very welcome! That has been my goal for this channel - to teach you the WHY not just the how. Once you understand all of the why's of sewing, the "How" portions will come naturally and allow you to create easily. Thank you for your feedback.

I really appreciate that you did this as a very simple one. I am brand new to sewing, so I need to build confidence with easy peasy projects for a while. I didn't understand the part about measuring for doing a sewing machine cover. I am EXTEMELY math stupid. Do you think you could do a more in depth tutorial on that? ?I like that you are easy to understand. Also, it looked like you were sewing with the foot raised. Is that helpful?

Your pattern design and video were great and very easy to follow. I made the outside 20 X 28 and the inside 19 X 27 3/4. I liked a snugger fit. the inside I made smaller so that when I turned it inside out the lining didn't show.

Very nice. Why can’t you measure and cut both fabrics at the same time, then sew them at same time. Thanks. What material was the white fabric?

Hi there! Happy Holidays! I am new to you channel and sewing. You page was suggested by you tube. I am confused what size you cut your material at and what your seam allowance was. Thank you for this easy sew dust cover for the cricut.

I need to make a cover for my sewing machine. I understand the boxes an how to measure for depth but what about height for that one continuous piece? Thank you
@SewnByNikki2 жыл бұрын
Hello. You can measure the height of what you need and cut your fabric to that height, adding 1" extra for seams. Measure the width of your machine as well and add an additional 1" for seams - connect the two pieces at the top with tops of fabric together. The type of fabric you want to use would determine if you can use one piece or not, to avoid your fabric pattern placement being upside down.

Omg, you are the best, I have 6 people I'm going to make this for and I love not using interface because will fit when I put in travel bag PLUS this will so work for my vacuum sealer in my kichen

You're welcome 😊 I noted in the description that I wanted mine snug on the side and loose on top (for my pens and weeders), so use the measurements larger if you need.

First of all, I truly enjoyed your video and will be making a Cricut Dust Cover for my sister friend. So I have a dilemma...I have the Brother SE1900 Embroidery Sewing machine. How do I create the cover for the machine that has the Embroidery Unit? The measurements for this machine are W 13.43 x D 23.19 x H 11.54. I'm having a difficult time finding a Pattern to make a Dust Cover for it. Thank you!
@SewnByNikki3 жыл бұрын
Just increase your measurements to add 1 inch to the width, depth and height of your particular machine; the measurements you posted here. That will allow for seam allowance. Sew the panels together. You will have enough seam allowance adding the extra inch to each panel.

@SewnByNikki3 жыл бұрын
I had to go back and take a look at it. : ) I lined it with regular white cotton fabric I had but you can insulate it with anything you would like.... it you want to give it body, try fusible fleece or pellon 809 on the back side of your outer fabric....
