This instruction is absolutely amazing; your verbal directions, along with the visual of fabric cut sizes and layout, taking us step by step is absolutely what I have needed. For two days I have been searching, watching, and listening online for flap pillowcases only to come away confused with a cluttered mind. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I’ve been watching several similar instructions for making a pillowcase with a flap but yours is by far the best. You speak so clearly, you are very well organised and the directions seem very easy to follow. I just bought some fabric and can’t wait to get started. Thank you so much for making such an inspiring video.

A pleasure to watch, clear concise instructions. Very good filming. You would be so inspirational to so many non sewers. Recently I have helped young woman learn to sew and it was with pillowcases I got her “ hooked” she learnt basics, straight accurate seams, measuring and ironing and she completed two pillowcases for her boys.

I'm so glad I found this video! I needed to make a couple of toddler pillowcases to go with a quilt I made. I wanted that flap to keep the pillow in place as well as hide it from view. Leave it to you, Laura, to come up with a pillowcase tutorial that's different from the others out there. It was interesting to see comments from your viewers that this style is the norm for some countries outside the U.S. I like how you demonstrated it can be used for different sizes just by tucking it in on one end. This is so cool - kind of like a two-for-one offer; makes me think of it as a "Pillowshamcase".
