YEES! i have been hunting for footage of this day/night for years! See, I WAS THERE as a kid of one of those on strike and it was constant laughing, laughing and laughter, Honestly, forget the fact is was the Pistols, as a kid i'd heard the name (I was 10) but it was the fun and safety, togetherness, fun that was ace... I heard the music and all the kids took it in the stride dancing and screaming.. brilliant. never forgotten what the lads did that day. never mind the bullshit, each member of the band was ace.. thanks guys if you c this. RIP kind, fun Sid. A friend x

The kids knew it was a show. Johnny Rotten is a Character. I was sitting with my Mom a few weeks before she died, and Johnny was being interviewed and was talking about taking care his wife when the interviewer asked why he didn't hire someone to care of his wife for him. He looked straight at the camera and said, "Because I love her so much". I looked at my Mom (she was have hypoxic dementia by this time) , when she said, "I guess Johnny isn't so Rotten". I actually encouraged me to stay longer to help her, even though my wife and two youngest were at our home in Asia.

Ya know... I'm 60 now... A lot has happened in the world since the Pistols arrived. And if you're paying attention, some of us have learned a lot more in the past two years that have answered a lot of questions and placed things into proper context. I like the Sex Pistols more now than I did then because... As I listen to their lyrics... it dawns on me that much of what we're just figuring out... They already knew. This video proves to me that probably no band was more misunderstood than the Sex Pistols. Maybe because of their presentation or their cantankerous off stage antics... The helplessness of addiction... But every song had a purpose... Drawing attention to the things they saw that was wrong with special emphasis on the UK. I'm rambling a bit... But do you see it? They knew the true lineage of the Monarchy... They knew how many abortions and about Jimmy Saville... They knew the game that had to be played for stardom in the music industry... And they weren't buying any of it!

In his own words, Johnny Rotten, who is by my account, a gifted songwriter, told us all exactly what the Sex Pistols were all about: CHAOS. In a nutshell. That they made some great songs - actual music - made them even better. Without a doubt they changed the face of it all - culturally, socially, and boldly and given that, regardless of their controversial material and personal tragedies of some, remain one of the greatest bands ever for their work.

He was drunk AF and only played 30 minutes because some drunk A-hole threw a beer bottle at him and cut open his head. TRUE TEXAS stories from when I was 10-11. Saw Motley Crue in 1983 when I was 15. He even said to Sid that cool it down because of the kids. He still loves working class heroes and their children… .

This was the pistols I wanted to see, just being humble and kind to everyone rather than what they were painted out to be.

i had a mate who was there . he wasnt into the pistols but told us that jonny gave him a skateboard ,we all laughed at the liar at that time. He said it was in Huddersfield and we laughed !!!!! as if the postols would play a kids party !!!!! little did we know. we just assumed his mum had bought the skateboard and he was trying to fit in with us.

@@jacobmoon7342 Yes my mate would of been around that age. He was younger than us and always tried to impress us so we thought he was bullshitting us ,it wasnt untill the internet that i found out about this. I dont think his dad was a fireman though and he lived in wakefield but he must of been there. There was no way his family could afford a top of the range skateboard like he got. This was the last gig they played in england before they went to America and split up . you was part of history my friend.

Qu'est-ce j'aurais aimé aller à un de leurs concerts en 77. Je les ai vu il y a 20 ans, mais c'était pas pareil. Le punk était une vrai révolution. Francis 93

WOW, the memories. In 1987 my school friend gave me this song I was 11, I came home & played it full volume in my bedroom on a Sanyo cassette player, then, my Mum came it smashed the cassette player against the wall and beat the shit out of me for playing such 'Vulgar Music" Subsequently I was made to go to Mass and repent to our local parish priest & got grounded for the school holidays & thus in turn my LIFE LONG LOVE for the Sex Pistols began..
