This makes me want to cry. 😢 For years, ALL of my life, I have ached over the treatment of God's daughters throughout the creation of Earth's history, and how we are portrayed even in the bible. This is comforting and reassuring that women are humans too, we are precious in our heavenly Father's eyes.

What about what Ephesians 5:22-33 says? 22: Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23: For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24: Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Sounds rather sexist to me. And yes, I read the other verses too. Why should wives submit? Why not husbands? If Men and Women are truly equal, then why is this in the bible? If Jesus truly believed both sexes were equal then he obviously wouldn't have had that put in there.

Sashiku's Art because a man HASS to fall under the authority of Christ God made the family structure with perfection in mind just like men have to fall under authority women must fall under authority and that would be her husband so if you're looking for a husband you better find one falling under the right authority
@jamesn77116 жыл бұрын
On top of Ephesians telling all Christians to submit to each other, there are a few other things you should to consider with this passage. This passage has much more to do with marriage than with the sexes. A wife is called to submit TO HER HUSBAND [only]. She is not made lower than other men, nor is she made lower than her husband. But both the husband and the wife cannot lead. One will lead and one will follow. However, there is this caveat. What if the role of one is to benefit the other? Would that not be an interesting change to the norm. Better yet, what if both roles benefitted the other. While you cannot logical have both lead, you also cannot have both submit. What we find in Ephesians 5 solves this dilemma. In a marriage, the wife was called to submit to the husband and the husband was called to "give himself up for her like Christ did for the church." In other words, the man is called to die for his wife. That is the trade-off. If these roles are fulfilled both are happy and both are trying to benefit the other. In the end, the woman would, generally, get what she wants, but it is brought about jointly. You may ask, "why did God give women the submissive role?" I would argue that men and women are different. And while there are counter examples, on the whole, and for the most part, women make more emotional appeals, while men make more pragmatic appeals. Emotion needs pragmatism and pragmatism needs emotion. But emotion (by definition) would not want to be submissive. God did not make this role to peeve off the women but to gently help us with our weaknesses. And men, too, have weaknesses. We want to do what we want. The Ephesians passage forces men to listen to their wives. The goal of marriage in scripture is to provide a place for spiritual nurture for the spouses and children and security and safety in life. And undo argument and pettiness would fly in the face of this goal while, honest mutual submission and love provides this.

As our timeless "Mother of God" (mother and son) iconography suggests, matriarchal and patriarchal spirituality are inseparable and coexist through an understanding of God's eternal cyclical nature. Represented by the serpent in many creation myths, the living cycle has a trinity of a beginning (head), a middle and end (tail). As above so below, the sexes were created in the image of God's cyclical nature where Mother is the head and opening to all beginnings and Father holds the tail to all endings (through which the sowing of seeds allow for the next great matriarchal rebirth).The joining of the two (symbolized by the Ouroborus or the marriage ring) is the sacred union needed in assuring the creation and continuation of new life cycles. To speak of the present day God as "Our Father" is simply an admission to our collective positioning within the bigger cycle. As all mothers have direct experience with the creator quality of birthing, so is the direct experience of rebirthing the divinity within (baptism) belong to that which is spiritually matriarchal. (John 3, verse 3-8). Sekhmet statues (ancient Egyptian) carry most of their weight in symbolic memory of what was a mother culture dedicated to the direct experience of baptism. As the leg shaped hairlocks extend from maternal breasts to the womb of rebirth, the lioness's head proportions are such that they highlight the bust of a second animal figure. The Lioness's ears as eyes and eyes as nose (nostrils) brings to life the figure of a reptile. 'Neath the halo headress of the solar egg, the lioness's egg fertilization process being internal (Set) and the reptile's egg fertilization process being external (Setting), such being key components to the safety of entering the trans-egoic or "born again" state. The life threatening fear associated with the predatory nature of a lion and/or crocodile encounter are reflective of the intense ego death experiences associated with the transpersonal awakening process. In spiritually matriarchal times, illumination could be seen as wearing the false beard (ancient Egyptian funerary "ego" death mask) as the high state of cyclical self knowing; high awareness of both our upper matriarchal half and our lower (later) patriarchal half (compared with a mini lower body replica, an "as above so below" tail end beard extension); in full recognition of her civilizational Underworld; her inevitable cyclical destiny. The male pharaoh wears his beard tapered in reverse, indicating a pointing upwards towards the patriarchal head, divine representative of God's tail end cycle. Mary's anointing and wiping of Jesus's feet with her hair can then be seen as "Head to tail" (toe) imagery as she descends her matriarchal head to his patriarchal feet, thus reenacting the high understanding of the divine cyclical process. (John 12, verse 3) To carry the Ankh (now the female symbol ♀️) was perhaps to symbolically carry that upper and lower understanding. As the upper matriarchal womb symbolised the fertile birthing of civilization, below, the now Christian cross is carried to place emphasis on the lower (later) "End Times" Father principle of the great cycle. Lord Ganesh, the elephant headed Hindu diety, displays a cyclical head to trunk symbolism and points to the Mother head of his matriarchal elephant society. Ganesh (like the elephant) wears God's cyclical nature on his face. A whole temple was dedicated to Hathor (ancient Egyptian diety), who is the matriarchal "Uterus" personified. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGHQYa2AiKp5gZI "See all women as mothers, serve them as your mother. when you see the entire world as the mother, the ego falls away. See everything as Mother and you will know God." - Neem Karoli Baba "My son, keep thy father's commandment and forsake not the law of thy mother" - Proverbs 6 : 20

It's funny how women believe in the Bible until they believe it doesn't benefit them. Then suddenly it's false. Amazing how strong the ego can be.
@daemon_foxx2 ай бұрын
Why would they believe in the book that allows women to be r4ped under certain conditions, says that women during period or after giving birth are impure, blames them for the fall of humans, doesn't recognise any divine being that is feminine (only masculine aspects of God are present despite claiming both male and female are in his image) even angels are believed to be male as if females didn't exist outside of material world and were only made for men, doesn't allow them to teach or 'usurp authority over men', paints men as Gods in their lives ("submit to your husband as you do to Christ"), and Apocrypha texts that describe how fallen angels literally lusted over women and then women got punished for what they did by being turned into sirens? Seeing how men usurp themselves God-like authority over women just because they're male, it's not a problem with women's ego

@Heather Doe There are many good woman in bible like Deborah, Ruth, Mary mother of Yeshua, even Mary of magdalene. I dont think God favour man anymore than woman. However, generally speaking, decency of woman of the current generation is a far cry from older generation. Finding good heart woman nowdays is like finding a diamond. Dont believe me, just look at the statistic, how divorce rate increase through generation as womans right become more and more demanding. And who suffer the most? its the children. God created man and woman with specific role. Why cant you just play your role and be a good mother to your children. I dont think God favour man or woman. God seek the purity of your heart, doesnt matter of you are man or woman.

@Heather Doe if bible revolve around men then why there is story of Deborah, Ruth, Mary, the widow gentiles who ask Jesus to cure her son, the poor woman who gives much more than the pharisee, the widow of zarephat, etc. and many more which i have yet to remember. Infact Jesus true genealogy bloodline is from Mary bloodline through the holy spirit, mary is decendant of Nathan son of David, Not from Joseph descendant of Solomon son of David. Both family line are David bloodline. And these woman above are good woman whom God favour. You should follow the example of the good women of the bible, not the bad ones like eve and jezebel. One thing for certain, none of the good woman above are womans right freak!
