For a 15-year-old television series the CGI is actually pretty decent. Most people did not like the concept of this new KARR, but even as a huge fan of the original series, I kinda liked the idea. On the other hand, it had much more potential than wasting all this for a 5 min fight scene.

The buildup to the fight was fine. The execution of the fight was poor. A 2 minute scuffle? As I've highlighted for the last 12 years on Knight Watch, if KARR had a form of attack mode with an arsenal of weaponry that would be deemed too lethal then I could get on-board with that. But the fact he changed into a bipedal robot as a new-age tech-mech gone wrong was just ludicrous.

This is the huge difference. The creator of Kitt says to the end "God bless you" and this is one of the things you will never hear in German TV synchro. Maybe it's the culture because even the dollar notes has an "in god we trust" and this is beautiful. But maybe its a fail by our constitution. Freedom for all kinds of religion. 🤷‍♂️

Knight Rider 2008 failed because it did not have a clear sense of where it wanted to go. Also, the loss of certain key characters (and - let's face it - terrible CGI) didn't help much either At first KITT became an instrument for the government doing all sorts of "the world is at risk" missions. Later it was trying to go back to its roots and do missions for the good of the little people, but by then they had already lost most goodwill from viewers and it was bound to be cancelled.

God this version of KITT is embarrassing. The Shelby was a terrible choice, the visualizer is ridiculous, but worst of all is his voice, for starters the cadence is all wrong, but it's the acting... it's downright atrocious (The acting across the board on the show is terrible) and it sounds even worse when put up against the venerable Peter Cullen.
