I lived a really, really, really sexually immoral life for most of my life and never cared about any results-... that was until I found someone that truly loves me and wanted to be with me for the rest of his life. Going cold turkey from my sex addiction has been extremely, extremely hard since I have had it for about 16 or more years and I won't be officially married for who knows how long. The withdrawal issues i have been experiencing during has been really intense and has led to physical symptoms. But this relationship is entirely worth it, every bit of it and even helping with being a christian example for my S.O. I needed this encouragement to keep going strong because I have no room to make certain mistakes, I just can't hurt my loved one. I'll listen to this video again. Please keep going with your videos to help encourage others in their faith. It is the most important lifeline we could have.

Hi Alex. I'm a Christian and I agree with a lot of your content, but I think this video missed the mark a little with the analogy. I don't think it was the best choice to use obesity as the metaphor, as obesity isn't always a result of a person's bad or food-addicted behavior, which is what this video implied a lot (though I understand that wasn't the focus). I'm sure you know there's a huge genetic and environmental component to obesity, and people don't always have control over their weight or body shape/size. As a part of being a compassionate Christian, I think we should be more mindful of how watching this video could make an obese person feel, especially if they're not in control of it (e.g. a person whose obesity was a side effect of PCOS or a medication they're taking). I'm not accusing you of fat-shaming or anything like that, as I know you more than likely had good intentions with this video. There are just some underlying allusions and assumptions that I think would benefit from further discussion and consideration. You're welcome to disagree, but if you do, it would be very helpful to share what you think of the issue and why you disagree.

I've been struggling with repetitive sin (porn) for the past 3 1/2 years even after giving my life to Christ- and I've held onto it for so long because I thought that this could be a replacement until I'm in a relationship with a significant other as a way to relieve sexual tension, along with turning to it as a coping mechanism. Lately, I've felt it in my heart to really want better for myself, because I'm tired of feeling guilty, ashamed, dirty, condemned, and messed up after watching that stuff. I want better for myself and I know God can provide me with the satisfaction and relief that comes from him only-good side effects from walking in the spirit. I'm struggling with sexual sin and its so tempting and I feel very guilty even though I am asking for forgiveness. I stopped for a few weeks but then gave in again recently. It's very shameful. I have always been a Christian and I slowly opened myself up to this sin. If you know something is bad news and not aligned with God's will even if it appears to be small, get AWAY. It will grow into a bigger problem/temptation. The enemy knows our flesh is weak. I wish I would have done that back then. Now I need to be on my way to recovery. Thank you again for your content.
