We literally celebrated Måneskin's victory like it was the 2006's world cup i'm not even kidding. I hope their success can bring new light to rock bands all over Italy, we're stuck in the past in that sense (we're stuck in the past in every sense, really) and what's usually successful is either old singer-songwriters or pop, rap and trap, modern rock has basically no room to breathe in Italy so to see them win both Sanremo and Eurovision is hopefully gonna encourage more young people to pick up an instrument and play with friends. Rock and Roll never dies!! I also hope their success can elevate the LGBT community, especially the Bi community which are often erased, not taken seriously or even considered as such.
