Many native English speakers don't realize this but this rule exists in English. However it isn't reflected in writing. Only in speaking. Work -> Worked ("workt") Live -> Lived ("livd") As a non-native English speaker, I had to learn this rule to pronounce the ed ending correctly in English. Now I see that this rule is the exact same in Dutch but it's also reflected in writing. Dankjewel voor deze video Kim 😁👍
@GabrielCazorlaPersson13 ай бұрын
You are kind of right. But I have found one exception to that rule... If the word ends with a "t" for example in "want", we pronounce it as -id, but the letter "t" is in ketchup. In the word "weeten" we have "weette" and "weetten" for the past.

Hahaha, no that's only for the pronunciation of the past participles: so you pronounce geleerd as geleert, but you have to write it with a D. And when you put it in the imperfectum (leerde) then of course you pronounce it with a D because it's not the last letter of the word anymore :)

Or am I not right?

What happens to the Dutch sexy soft ketcup if left overnight in freezer?
@JCTjia4 жыл бұрын
@learndutchwithkim4 жыл бұрын
Oeh ja een sexy fokschaap! :) Wat zijn de nieuwe methoden dan?
@JCTjia4 жыл бұрын
@@learndutchwithkim De leerlingen moeten de werkwoorden in het meervoud zetten of bijvoeglijk gebruiken. Bijvoorbeeld bij het werkwoord 'maken': je hoort bij de meervoudsvorm in de verleden tijd een 't', namelijk 'maakten'. Als je 'maken' bijvoeglijk gebruikt, hoor je ook een 't': de 'gemaakte' som. Hier hoor je duidelijk een t en geen d.
@learndutchwithkim4 жыл бұрын
