people complaining it doesn't look better or not much better than KCD1 seem to have forgotten they did a major graphical upgrade to KCD1 a year or two ago. as to armour and weight, what is often depicted is more like jousting and tournament armour, which is much heavier than normal for safety reasons - these armours are not suitable for war.

@@Void-kn8xxit’s not hard to play. Lot of people didn’t practice with Bernard. That’s the secret to being good at combat. You have to train Henry.

@AvaaSlays_Swiftie Never said it was hard. Just horrible to play as a whole. Broken mechanics like the master strike make the combat a joke where you just have to wait and press a button to win every fight, combos are pretty much useless as 99% of the time enemies break your combo with a parry or a master strike. Bad sword feedback as well. Training with Bernard does nothing except teaching you the masterstrike, then you go on and win every single fight because of that mechanic, pretty much breaking every other combat mechanic in the process.

@@Void-kn8xx master strikes definitely make one on one trivial, but you can still get ganked by a bunch of bums.

KCD1 already looks GREAT, especially in combination with some mods and Reshade. It must be very difficult for developers to top the graphics in its successor. But, honestly, better graphics in KCD II is the least I'm interested in. It's sooooo much other stuff which thrills me: The better combat system, animals of the wild life (wolves were a huge threat for people and their livestock during medival time), new mechanics and physics. And - of course - the admirable NPC charakters, and how they interact with their environment and the player.

Ultra Makes my 7900xtx Humm but honestly can't see much of a difference between it and High or very high. So I kept it on high for lower power consumption, otherwise I'd have kept it on very high maybe Ultra at times. Did max all the LOD settings though but have to actually test the Textures or water because from what little I've tried out, I haven't seen a noticeable difference but I'm just starting the game.

There's niche and typically Czech connection between blacksmithing and the name of mr. Jirsa. There is, you can fairly say, legendary comedy group "Divadlo Járy Cimrmana" (Jára Cimrman's Theatre). (To ilustrate - Jára Cimrman is completely fictional character quite like mr. Monty Python... Yet, in 2005 he won title of "The Greatest Czech", defeating even Charles IV., or any other real figure of importance.) So, "Kovář Jirsa" (Jirsa, The Blacksmith) is name of symphony that is centerpiece of quite witty sketch about stealing ideas in classical music. And yes, that's enough for me to grin over it. 😀 Also... I've never been so early!

I would FLIP if they had a Latin Mass every few days or something more immersive regarding the church. That system was so cool to see in the first. PLUS the DLC with the inquisitor was amazingly done.

I was impressed they actually had a proper monstrance with the host in it on one of the altars in KC1. Also, in the DLC they had a proper Latin Inscription in honor of Hans being the first founder of a church he restores.

Actually Kingdome Come 1 looks already amazing with the extra hd textures downloaded and on ultra configuration which was experimental for future hardware so people are maybe referring to that when they say it doesn’t look better. Which is not true of course since it definitely looks better but I would see where it comes from

Watching KCD swordfights is basically just sword animation p*rn. All the different combos vs what you get in Skyrim. Peak animation. And now there's animations for even more things like washing and eating. I'm so excited for this game.

Remember when all those rumors about Rockstar making a medieval game were going around, and Warhorse tweeted saying they'd be willing to help with it. Now years later with KCD2 being showed off it has a bunch of features from RDR2. It could definitely be possible they took a lot of inspiration from that game, and rightfully so. But MAYBE they did collaborate together, and Rockstar showed them how to implement a lot of these features, just food for thought
