3:22 - That's what sold me on these Duality pickups. The dynamic range - to handle crisp, clear, clean tones like that - makes all the difference. I can get many passive pickups to chug hard, especially with a boost pedal (and this Duality set CHUGS).... but it's extremely important to have that kind of versatility with the full tonal spectrum.

I've been using Dimarzio Super Distortion bridge pickups for years now. I love them. I remember back in the 80s and 90s alot of metal bands used them. Suffocation, Whiplash, Slayer, Voivod etc

Ive owned these babies since they were released, I loved them at first strum replacing 81/85s. Im running them through a 5150iii and laney cab, Im gonna replace my duncan black outs for these in my 7 string as well. great vid Ola, Ill probably throw a set in a solar guitar when I can pick one up!

Very good pickups and I may get a set someday. For the most part I'm very happy with either a JB, Distortion or Nazgul, the latter of which I consider the best overall passive pup for clarity with modern, ultra-high gain metal.

Great sounding pickups. They share the same preamp as the Jeff Loomis set, except they have alnico II magnets instead of alnico V.

When I saw this video, I initially thought Seymour Duncan “Duality” pickups, I thought these would be like another signature Slipknot guitarist pickup review, when I heard this that thought completely went away, and now I can understand why they are such good sounding pickups! I think some of the "bite" comes from your picking anyway. The "tone is in your fingers" phrase is a true one. Would be nice to see a side by side with other actives, to see how much more bite it has in comparison

I feel like this modern kind of pickup is almost more suited to DAW use and digital modelling software like AxeFx or Positive Grid. Using them with an actual amp+cab can be tediously specific to get them singing as intended.
