Cool demo Andy. Last November, I've bought this pedal due to the Black Friday promos and I really liked this pedal. It's very easy to use, and you could get sounds from the slapback echo from the 50s, "The Edge" sounds or the ambient delays with a modulation. I haven't tried a MXR but personally, the price is very affordable. I don't have a loop so I haven't tried the loop insert.

It might just look this way on the video but it looks like the delay time led isn't flashing. If not, is there a way to switch it off without modifying the pedal? It's a cool feature but it gets annoying to look at after a while.

amazing video Andy :) today I learn more about muy vapor trail. thanks

I'm new to the "wet insert loop" function of this pedal. Seems interesting but probably a little more "experimental" than I would normally use. Question is though, if I inserted say a Phase 90 in this loop, is the Phase 90 now only usable for the insert through the delay? If I normally use a Phase 90 in the traditional sense, do I now need 2 on my board if I wanted to experiment with one in the delay loop???
@effyiew73187 жыл бұрын
yes. Putting your phase 90 in the TRS loop means you're phasing your repeats, not the signal going into the Vapor Trail.

Hi! I'm wondering if loop acts on the wet-out (the signal that goes from bbd to pedal output) or the effect is compunded (effect in loop affect the signal for each repeat). In the first case if I use an octave-up effect my dry signal is a C1 and all repeats is C2 In the second case if I use an octave-up effect my dry signal i a C1 first repeat is C2, second repeat is C3... How this pedal works ??? Bye!

and the modulation is perfect for dark ambient stuff - it adds a whole second effect basically.

I personally love this delay I am about to pull the trigger against many very popular delays. I can see why some people won't like though, it's maybe too dark for some, but for some other probably like us commenting on this right now, this is what makes it great. It's dark but very clear, it's simple which is a huge plus for me (even the modulation controls are hidden so they don't get in the way) and the tapping light is a cool feature.

Great video! I l had an earlier version of this pedal on my watchlist, but I'm really tossed up on it or the Earthquaker Dispatch Master/Avalanche Run. Any thoughts?
@alexbreyer69218 жыл бұрын
I own the Avalanche Run, which is really fun and useful if you need some reverb in there too. But it is likely a bit weirder and perhaps a bit more experimental. (Or maybe that's me!) This one seems really well laid out. I also like that this one has the I/O on the top side, allowing you to cram pedals closer together.

I'm new to analog delays. Just bought the Seymore Duncan Deja Vu Delay off of reverb.com. It'll be here soon. So my question is... what does this do that the Deja Vu can't do? I'd appreciate your help, Andy. Thanx!
@alexbreyer69218 жыл бұрын
This one is really nice and the sound *might* be different but the Deja Vu has way more features. Stereo output. Tap tempo. Plus a longer delay time option. It's a bigger pedal too, so some people may want the space saved with the Vapor Trail. Both allow for the expression control and I believe loop inserts. I'm guessing that Duncan has made a similar sounding pedal in a smaller body and they lost some of the time and the stereo output.

Another great demo from Andy. In this demo, the LED does not appear to blink. I returned a V1 because the bright blinking was over the top for me. Is there now a way to turn this feature on/off in V2? SD's website doesn't have any notes either way. Thanks!
