I have great respect for devoted journalists like Mr. Hersh. Only truth will set you free. He asked the right question about Muslim extremist--Why do they hate us? America is doomed when money controls media. It is sad that some truth come out after they retire.

I'll praise the New York Public Library for having Sy Hersh on. I remember seeing a portrait of him at CBS Morning News. The 7-10 min clip was totally predictable, CBS talked about his childhood, where he grew up and some of his mayor achievements back in the 60's and 70's (the past is a safe place). They also talked about the fact that he didn't use a computer and some reporting from the New York Times period. The CBS praise stopped after the Abu Ghraib scandal. It seemed to me that the point of the reporting was to question Sy Hersh present mental state, questioning his resent reporting that reflected badly on Obama. For example his reporting on the Osama bin Laden killing without questioning his facts, just asking if he had lost his touch. They never even mentioned his reporting on Syria. Ie what you predict if you've read Manufacturing Consent.

In the last decade, great publications such as the New Yorker, Harpers, the Atlantic, Even Mother Jones has fallen under a very narrow corporate ownership. The only sole proprietorship left are Forbes and the Rolling Stone.. Mr. Hersh, help us!

I worked with Pulitzer Prize winning investigative journalist David Cay Johnston on a Newsweek cover story. During my years researching erroneous and fabricated storylines found in non-fiction publishing, I stumbled upon troubling issues with some of Hersh's work. I respectfully reached out to Hersh to inquire about these issues. His email responses were arrogant, dismissive, and failed to provide any answers. "Listen, hon..." he retorted without answering my questions. His work certainly is not beyond reproach. Some of it is terrible.

I hope this comment reaches you for the simple fact that I am incredibly curious about your answer, assuming you do. I am a huge fan of Hersh but over the years I've been finding quite a few issues with his articles/books. At first I thought that they were just honest mistakes, like the story about marylin in the JFK book but as time went on he not only seemed indignant, just like you said (arrogant as well), about any questions regarding his work. What I am dying to know is what you thought of Hersh's most recent article about the Nordstream pipeline? I am having a difficult time believing his story and its sourcing. It seems as though Hersh has a narrative about US forgein policy/NATO and desperately seeks anything he kind find to perpetuate that narrative. I could also be wrong but i would truly like to know what your opinion is, thank you.

Mr Hersh has a bad habit of not finishing his sentences. He starts to say something and in the middle of the sentence veers off in a different direction. It's exasperating. He has lots to say but has trouble staying on topic. Presumably he writes better than he speaks. We'll see. Otherwise interesting though I do wish he didn't always come on these interview shows looking like an unmade bed.

I feel that as good as this man is at bringing out some truths, has an area that he Leaves well alone when kn fact its cryong out for some truths. To write about it requires that he step out of the box for a moment anc talks to people who have devoted a huge amount of time and hard work to get to the bottom of. Before going on i have to day that there are a number of things that need looking at with a dergree of technicality, people who can offer some basis as to why the story we were all given does not hold water, all of which requires a certain knowledge of of physics. I can onlt tell you what i know for certain as an engineer knowledge aquired from the personal awareness of the construction of aircraft.I have some photos that tbe moment you look at them you become aware that there are some physical properties that are know facts to those involved withing the industry. This is as far as i know, the biggest lie ever told, anything else fades into obscurity because of the size of this lie, the whys and the hows of it all become something that most Americans already have their doubts about The subject is 9/11 a story that has so many actual flawes in it technically
