8:40 Had the unfortunate experience with a book series I read half of recently. My mom was convinced I'd like it - she said I read it as a kid, liked it (it was adult level fiction, or at least YA), and she'd discovered it had sequels. (She'd liked it too.) I didn't remember it AT ALL, so tried reading the four book series. I had to pretty much force myself through some of it because I LOVEDD the worldbuilding and the culture and the magic that went from subtly hinted to obvious only for a select crowd - but the main character for book 1 was awful, felt so Mary Sue it hurt. Book 2 was better, though it focused a lot on romance which isn't my thing. I couldn't get more than a couple chapters into book 3 before hitting my limit and stopping because of the BRAT of a main character.

YES. This is terrible when it happens and I hate it. I started reading a book series and I really liked it. I really Loved the worldbuilding and such, but as I got through the books I started liking the main character less and less. I felt like she was a sort of Mary Sue. Something else I didn't like is how the romance was handled. The thing is, I DO like romance. But that is when it's well developed and between characters I like and I like TOGETHER. The main character got together with like three love interests, one after the other. I'm pretty sure that she stays with the last one until the end, but I wouldn't know because I didn't finish it. Also, the second one is my favourite and I feel like she did him dirty with how and why she broke up with him. I liked her and the third one better as friends. There was a side plot in a later book with a different batch of characters that I loved and I ended up skipping ahead just to read about them. I found that I stopped caring after they met up and fused with the main group. I dropped the series. My father (who also read the books) finished it. I want to ask his opinions on it someday.

Like he would follow me and let me rub his belly (which no other cat has ever let me do or he ever let anyone else do) and one night he didn't come home, but he did that a lot so I didn't think anything of it. My cannon for a ghost eve is that the Evee has to die during evolution to evolve into a ghost type. I had this idea for a eevee that shot itself in the head with a ditto during mod evolution and is a suicidal ghost that possesses Pokemon and people and starts trying to kill its host hoping that it will kill it too but it always results in the host passing out or rarely dieing and the ghost eevee getting booted from the body.

Could be wrong, but I can't seem to find more than that.
