it’s so great to see reviews like this! nowadays it’s so easy to find hauls but not many that really review the longevity of items. i’d love to see more videos like this on some of your other longer owned piece/shopped from brands. it’s easy to fall into buying pricier pieces with the expectation it should last longer with nicer quality fabrics, and it’s not always the case.

Absolutely, I would love to continue to do updates. When I first show an item, of course it is hard to comment on longevity, whereas 1-2 years or even 3-4 years down the track, we can have a much better idea. Will keep this in mind for future content as well :) Thank you so much x

Very informative video! I was just drooling over their new sandals, but now I'll think twice, especially since I don't really need a new pair. All in all, a lot of Sezane pieces, at least for me, are like pretty pictures - nice to look at but far too feminine/bohemian to successfully blend in with the rest of my wardrobe. Although I do love watching other people wear them :D

I have an ever growing collection of Sezane pieces, and love yours! I tend to go for items in their classic cuts, in 100% silk, cotton or linen, or a blend of those. Anything with polyester is an immediate no for me. The exaggerated frills and ruffles we've been seeing don't suit me so I add feminine detail through print, lace or embroidery. I agree with you about the belts...they are gorgeous, original and great quality. The only purchase I regret so far is the Ornella jumper in dark green. The merino is lovely and soft but it's really thin and I don't like the way my skin shows through the knit. I wish I'd exchanged it for a lighter colour as the patterns and cuff buttons are really pretty. I do like the perfect slim jeans in black but I returned the blue ones once I realised they contained polyester, and as you say, they're quite stretchy.

Thank you for sharing Paula :) We have very similar thoughts on the brand - hoping they do less polyester pieces and less of the dramatic frills/ruffles in exchange for something more wearable :) xx

As an expat living in France, I’ve accumulated a fair amount of Sézane pieces over the years. My top three favorites are the Will jacket, gaspard jumper and tomboy shirts. The quality of all three are amazing and all are wardrobe classics. I also love Sézane silk shirts - the simple designs like the Florence (pajama style color), Ann or Pierro shirts. They lose me when they go too trendy or girly/frilly.

Some of the Sezane pieces I've got are hero pieces in my wardrobe. I love their tomboy shirts (I've got two: white and blue/ecru stripes and they go with everything), the Charlotte blouse (silk with lace lapel, looks really chic) and the Dora skirt (black lace maxi skirt, perfect for casual days). My beef with Sezane is also the material (synthetics and Singapore weather just don't go) - so many lovely pieces but the moment they're more than 40% polyester I'm like, "Next!"

Also just to add on blazer composition - a lot of brands use poly blends because of the way the fabric drapes. One of my best blazer buys was a wool and poly blazer from Helmut Lang. Cost me $750+ and I wore that thing 400X+ - the quality of it was incredible! Obviously not always the case but something I try to keep in mind (as I’m a total fabric snob 🤣🤣🤣)

Hey, Helen ! Great video ! Just a few heads up : the Alicia skirt in Pastel Flowers is made of 100% Recycled Polyester and for the shoes : you have to get them to the cobbler after one use because the sole (the part of your shoe that touches the ground while walking) is made of leather and it needs an extra sole to protect it and that will prolongate the life of your shoes (your cobbler must know how to do it)... I have different pairs of Sézane shoes (7) and i am very pleased with the quality.
@DailyHelenJ3 жыл бұрын
Hi Doriana :) Yes, it is actually 100% recycled polyester (so many tags I read I got it mixed up). For shoes with a leather sole, I usually bring shoes to get a rubber sole, however I was a bit lazy with this pair. 100% agreed that the sole should have a leather sole put on however I do still think that my particular pair is lacking in quality (leather itself doesn't feel nice). Thank you so much for watching and for sharing! I'm so glad that you've had a better experience with their shoes.
@DorianaPoceandada3 жыл бұрын
@@DailyHelenJ I find that it's a shame that on the same models the tissu differs but the price stays the same, worse sometimes it's more elevated for a synthetic or lesser quality fabric. But hey, they moderate and balance the price so that more expensive tissues like silk becomes more affordable. My favorite shoes from Sézane are : the Jack sneakers in écru and black, the Low Laura pumps and the Penelope boots. Something I regret about Sezane is that the quality sometimes isn't consistent not even for the same models... some of their leather goods are inconsistent in quality especially the type of leather called héritage...people complain about the belts made in this type of leather...I think their quality control service needs a serious improvement. Anyway, I enjoyed your review very much... I know for sure that I bought some pieces after seeing your reviews like the Léontine Jumper. And for sure your review is the best one there... I have bought quite a few Sezane pieces over the years and these are my overall thoughts: sizing is weird, it runs way too big and most pieces look weird on us petites. Sweaters are okay, I have sold most of them on Vestiaire after a few months because they shed too much for my liking and aren’t as soft as people say they are. Their cashmere and merino wool are lovely, though. Their best pieces are dresses and blouses/shirts, especially those made of silk. Their viscose is also pretty high quality in my opinion.

Darling, lovely review! However, Sezane isn't the only fashion house using synthetics. All designers use synthetic fabrics here and there but I find it fairly priced in comparison to some big famous labels that charge 1000s of $. I do read the label and cannot wear polyester as well and this is where I find it unfair to pay the same price for polyester (recycled or otherwise) as for pure silk!

Lovely video. As always stunning and really informative. Quick question? How do find the James knit? That was my first love. It looks and feels amazing. However for me, the extreme pilling / fuzz balls / bobbles annoyed me especially given that they happened after only 3 wears. I did a bit of research and found out that blends where many different materials are put together together, tend to often come away from each other, resulting in pilling.

Hello! Lovely video - big Sezane fan myself. I recently got the Will Jacket in Ecru because I am taller and I feel like the Willa will be short on me. I was surprised at how light the fabric is- it’s not stiff and so upon wear it creases very easily. Do you find this to be the case with the Willa Ecru jacket as well? Thanks!

Hi :) Thank you for watching. I find my Ecru version lighter than the blue version I have. The blue feels more like a denim jacket, and the ecru more like a thicker shirt.
