Hi ! So you sized for the Bilma ? Is it still oversized look after sizing down ? Im asking because Im usually size 6 but it was kind of too lose but im afraid the 4 may be tight.

@@raemana7193 I have the striped version now and got my usual size (4) it’s perfect. The white one I tried both 2 and 4 (you can see in the video). The fabric on the white one is more structured, so I preferred the size 2 on me. It really depends on how oversized you want it to be though. The shirt is roomy, so if you want it more fitted or if you’re in between sizes, Sezane recommends to size down.

I love your videos about Sezane. You dissect the pieces perfectly for your body type and how the pieces might fit another body type; I am 158cm 55 kg petite, inverse triangle body type. Hi Mila ! Lovely video, thank you 🥰 I love the Ann silk shirt, I have it in several patterns ! I've been trying and hesitating with the Chlo for so long, the fact that the little "ruffle" on the front does not go lower somehow bothered me... But maybe I should give it a try again 😍

Hi! I haven’t yet, but for what I know, the only difference from Max is the pocket. Fit is the same, it runs large :)

Great video! What you said about the influence of fabric on the fit is very insightful. Never thought about it that way. Flowy fabric definitely looks better on a smaller hourglass frame.

I'm pear shape and petite, the denim Max shirt in 34 looked like a tent on me. It made my shoulders look even narrower compared to my hips, and literally swallowed me. So unfaltering. I think the structured cotton ones would look even worse. IMO, these only truly flatter tall ruler types of body. Maybe thin apples can get also get away with it.

Yes Max is definitely not great for petites! I’m not petite, but you can see it’s super unflattering on me if all buttoned up (all the ones I tried actually 😂). Totally agree on being perfect for straight figure and tall ladies, but styling the shirt and doing some tweaks on the sleeves and collar, tucking in or wearing as a 3rd piece, make it look SO much nicer! 🫶🏼

@@milainnewyork It think it works for you as you showed because you have an hourglass shape. As a small pear, it was too much fabric to half-tuck into pants, it looked all bunched up and made my hips look wider. It didn't even work as a denim overshirt because of the "tent effect." However, I just got the chambray Tomboy in a size larger than usual and it's sort of the equivalent of the Max for petite pears, it looks great styled in all the ways you suggested.

I wish I could wear the Chlo shirt - it was so small and tight on me, that I would have had to go 2 sizes up maybe. :( the other one is super pretty but the neck is so low that I don’t feel comfortable having my large breast so much on display. I still am tempted by the Maxence. I don’t usually like oversize at all, but maaaan that color…. Hot!

I got a Boyfriend shirt from Sezane because I wanted the particular stripe, but it’s way too oversized. I ordered my regular size.

The color maybe, but the fabric is too stiff for my curvy body 😉 The only way the red looks nice is when I tie in the front or tuck it in, but even then it’s so tricky to do so because of the structure of the material

It is all about proportions. I am skinny, broad shoulders, longer torso than you and I cannot have Max at all. It is too wide and too short at the same time, just too much fabric. But I like Tomboy and Ann shirt in silk. After watching your video, I might dare to try few more styles. Overall with all Sezane pieces, I struggle to find the same high quality for the similar price.

You’re 100% right! Maxence would probably be nicer on you but definitely size down. Tomboy, Ann, Chlo and Pierro would work well I think 🤗❤️ I totally agree regarding the quality and price point, they’re amazing!

Of the classic styles, I have two Tomboy, two Max, and a silk Chlo, I think the same green one you have. I wear them all a lot and would get more if I could! Thanks Mila!

The deep green Chlo you are wearing looks amazing on you. That one has to be the best of the whole video. I think it suits you better than the models because you have the right vibe for it, and it looks more romantic and antique on you, possibly some “dark academia” w/ Victorian. Now I want one, but I don’t remember the silk ones coming in any colors that would suit me as a true spring so I may need to wait a while. Have you tried the Florence shirt? That one is also silk and I love it. It has a much more simple neckline but the open neck area is built in by default and it is really nice quality. I have it in the “Monday” floral print and definitely plan to get more in the future.

Thanks for the review Mila. from Sezane shirts, my fave is by far the Chlo. I tend to avoid classically cut cotton blouses because I'm very busty and I know without trying they won't work for me. I need flow to the fabric especially on top. Btw did you ever go worn the Kibbe rabbit hole? I think you are a soft natural, which makes sense why you don't like close neckline on yourself and need flow as well.

I wanted a classic white shirt so I got the tomboy in white (sized up for shoulder comfort), it’s such a beautiful high quality cotton. I also have like 3 or 4 chlos lol. I have them in silk, cotton, and lace, and I find the collar drapes the best in silk. And speaking of dupes, I got a white silk one from & other stories, and I really wish I hadn’t… it’s so sheer it’s basically see through! They also came out with the Rosine in chambray w/ a lace collar which I thought was just beautiful, but sadly the combination of the low neckline and the long length made it look HUGE on my short torso, almost like I’m playing dress up. So I had to return it. Also one problem I have with most shirts is that the sleeves are too long 😂 I really prefer to shorten the sleeves if I can but the $$ adds up… Curious if you also have this problem?

I cannot tuck in the blouses because of my tummy. I ist not flattering for me. Which blouse would you recommend if you would not tuck in? Have the Chloe but it is very short and I have birma and also that doesn’t look good on me because it is so oversized😢

That was very helpful. I bought a Pierro and Tomboy last year. Not worn yet as been in storage while traveling. Autumn in Australia now, will try to wear before too cold. I am petite 5’1”, and short waisted. Bought 38 as I prefer room and not used to wearing shirts. Tricky to style for me as the overall length is too long. Got them out of storage now (prompted by your video) and worked out the best option is tied at the waist. Wonderful. X

You can’t go wrong with the Chlo I’ve got the ecru and black and would get a green if I get flush with spare cash. The first shirt is lovely too probably would have been better with the size up. I wanted to get the shorts in the blue flower but chickened out due to being a redhead. My legs are so white 😅

Out of all the Sezane shirts I own, I wear the Tomboy in linen camel-ecru stripes the most. The Max is huge on me even though I sized down as per the recommendation. I have the Chlo in black and I wear it to funerals only... Maybe I should try one of the other colors to fall in love with it.

Great video Mila! I personally love the tomboy (wide green stripe linen cotton one is perfection) rym shirts for me. I am 5’8” and 55kg with a slim rectangle body. I tried the Chlo in cotton stripe and found the sleeves too puffy and stiff on me. I have never tried Chlo in silk but they look so great on you, I should give it a try! 😊

Yes Suzanne, please try the silk Chlo! I had the same problem with the stiffness of the heavy cotton Chlo but I own 2 silk Chlo which are amazing because due to the fabric they fall totally different and you have a good movement in them. The lightweight cotton Chlo is also amazing but this season it seems to be only in the colour Blosson Green which I own and which is sold out currently.
