It's hard to believe that the LZJ, that fought a tired Chou Tien Chen, that sometimes couldn't direct some of his shots well and had difficulties reading his opponent's moves, in just 2 years, became an All England Open champion. His evolution is surreal, only being ranked 60 or below during this game, with him now holding a Championship only held by number 1 and 2 seeds for the last 17 years, until him of course. I really hope to see him shine in the Tokyo Olympics, he truly has the ability to go for a medal!

Of course they have better coverage and steeper smash but having low agility slow recovery. Chou was short in stamina on the second set. Strategically, he should gamble on conceding this set fast and fight in the rubber set. But Li Zi Jia's fitness is beyond anybody's guess.

chou's biggest problem, is that he doesn't have a lot of variation especially during critical moments. This boils down to lack of confidence in his all around skillset. And skillset will become more and more important than capability. In order to advance to the next level (best of the best), he has to focus on strategy play (supported by top skills), rather than still playing like a 20 yr old (which he is not anymore).

a lot of unforced errors from Chou Tien Chen. In the first round, Chou's smashes were hard and precise. Second round it faltered, and in the third round, Chou stopped using smashes to end the rally, and focused more on stroke play. In conclusion, Lee had the more energy and the more consistent player. Lee, being a very good upcoming player, and Chou still is a top seed player nonetheless.

Maybe in homeland Chou is seems desparate to win by playing too aggressive. He fire too many smashes which cause him extremely exhausted compare to Lee. Lee is very well defend and calm with lesser unforced errors. To be a top player the player have to be calm and with good strategy. The world has 1 Lindan and it is hard to replicate another like him who really aggressive play during his top form. The other style of playing to keep longer on top spot is like Lee Chong Wei or Kento Momota, great defend and stamina with strategy play.
