All sounds good but #3, which is ridiculous. First, your proposal would sound like you are saying we should jail homeless. If you want to send them to a shelter don't send them to a prison area. For example, send them to some open area outside Fresno. Second, homeless who do go are not going to stay.

The reason union square turned into a ghost town is because wages are low, housing prices are through the roof, and layoffs are happening in TECH and slowly going into other industries. Tourists are sick of seeing the homeless everywhere and there is human remains ALLLLL over the city now. Being from SF in my opinion fixing the economy does not start with reopening these stores, there’s a why everyone fled… fix the housing and workforce side of the economy FIRST

Yeah, it was a thinly veiled commercial. That said, SF is still a beautiful place to live, work, and play. Nicer in ways because now it's not as crowded with childish, bigoted, demanding tourists or a mayor who tells citizens to keep smiling and pleasing because they're just part of the scenery. The park on the Transbay Terminal is worth multiple visits. Park Presidio, Fort Funston, Yerba Buena, McKinley Park, on and on... It's all still there in all its glory. Reputation changes with political tides. Imagine what it was like during the barbaric Barbary Coast days. This is Disneyland in comparison. Heck, you want D'land, go to D'land. SF is a city, not a theme park.
