these guys are basically playing the same way you would with classic except using the instant supers. the only special that cant be done manually with e honda is command grab

It's not really that impressive - he can do specials and lvl 3 super with one button press at an instant. Modern > Classic for some characters.

@@vondongamingEh i don’t see the issue with them. It opens doors for newer people to get into the FGC. I have friends that got into SF without any history of playing any other fighting game just because of modern controls. At the end of the day there’s pros and cons to classic and modern your skill as a player should shine more than the button layout you choose.

The ending of the second to last match made me hold my breath. That's some intense footsies right there! Yes, I know they weren't actually going in and out of each others striking range (only specials and DR would reach) but the principle is the same.

Same for the Japanese voice acting in most fighters. "You won't get away" "It's over for you" and "Take this" are like the most commonly used voicelines in everything lol

too many voice clips in general. Back in my day we had was a tinny little shoryuken and nobody knew what that meant and it was fine. If Ryu was a new character he'd be shouting "RISING DRAGON FIST" and we'd all make fun of him. And don't get me started on Akuma changing languages mid-sentence like a weeb. Everyone shut up and fight.

​@@kingpharaoh84I'd like to see you come up with better. They do this because it's simple and it fits what's going on. There's only so many combinations of words that fit someone quickly running at you or throwing someone. That's the charm of these games, especially marvel vs Capcom where characters say the same one voiceline for an attack over and over, It helps the player know what's going on and now how to react based on sound.

I like street fighter 6, but why they have to make the original characters ( Ryu, Gouki, Honda) look like they are 50 ? The Simpson , South Park… etc they are just the same as the beginning of the show. My point is that if capcom continue like that, all the originals characters will disappear in street fighter 8.

SF is doing something different and that's actually ageing the characters to fit the story instead of retconning or stuffing the story into a tight space to not have to change the design. Eventually they'll have to turn the OG into more of a retired mentor role to fit a new roster in (Ryu already has that hermit vibe going on XD). With SF's track record of designing new characters for every game so far, I'm confident they can pull it off without butchering the ones we know and love

Well Honda only looks old because of that costume color. His default look he looks the same as he does in the previous games. Bison looks old because his body rapidly ages. Ryu & them look fine. Plus if they ever wanted to they can just make a SF game take place in the past. SF4 & SF5 technically took place before SF3 as well.

Toxic takes like this is what keeps newer and disabled players away from the FGC. There’s still many components that make you good at the game other than motions. Both layouts have their pros and cons. And if you keep losing to modern and it’s making you think it should be banned then I suggest you just git gud.

Very disappointed to see that this player is not performing any charge moves or quarter circles like decades of street fighter players have had to strive to learn. It shouldn't be called classic, but Proper Controls. Not modern but Beginner Controls.
