SFAN06 What to do with a data of 20th Sunday after Trinity 1792 as in Smithfield - how to convert to calendar dates
For: Muskogee RootsMagic Users group
www.muskogeeco...
Goal: As stated in the goals for this FAN project, I am using Smithfield Lutheran register to identify Associates in the FAN, and then using FamilySearch World Family Tree to scope the possibilities, if I find from that data interesting facts, I will then do a deep dive on the individuals and apply my accumulated research techniques.
Many dates in Church records are written in data format of Sundays after or before religious events, how to convert to calendar dates.
Process/Demonstrations:
1. Show an entry in the Smithfield Luthern Register 1792-1826 with the date written is this format.
2. Demonstrate Google search and search term “20th Sunday after Trinity 1972”
3. Show Allen E. Konrad document on his credit page, with his contact information - Listed below
4. Show how to find the calendar for the year
5. Demonstrate how the calendar can be used
6. Show all the Smithfield dates and their conversions
I hope this helps you - Please like and subscribe

FAN research, also known as cluster research, is a genealogical work flow tool that uses the records of individuals associated with the person being researched to provide data on the researched person. In this case, I intend to use the individuals in the “Smithfield Lutheran Register 1792-1826” as those associated with my family.
