I just started working on an 8-control one, it'll be a lot simpler, but still using actual Allen-Bradley buttons. The top row will be Control Power, Reset, Seats/Floor, and E-stop. The bottom row will be Dispatch, Gates, Restraints, and Dispatch. Here's how I plan for it to work: Control Power: A 2-position switch. Not a keyswitch, didn't want to bother with a key. On turns on the panel and sets the station to manual dispatch, Off turns off the panel and sets the station to auto dispatch. Reset: A red guarded illuminated button. Activates NL2's Reset function, light flashes if the coaster crashes and needs to be reset. Works even with Control Power off. Not sure if this is possible, as this function doesn't have a keybind or a telemetry function. Seats/Floor: An amber guarded illuminated button. Controls seats on flying coasters and the floor on floorless coasters. Light flashes when the seats/floor are in dispatch position and can be moved to loading position, and is on when the seats/floor are in loading position. Does nothing and not illuminate at all if the coaster isn't floorless or flying. E-stop: A red illuminated push-pull mushroom head button. Activates NL2's E-stop function when pushed, deactivates it when pulled. Light is on when activated, flashes when deactivated. Works even with Control Power off. Restraints: An amber guarded illuminated button. Opens and closes restraints. Light flashes when restraints are closed and can be opened, and is on when they're open. Gates: An amber guarded illuminated button. Opens and closes gates. Light flashes when gates are closed and can be opened, and is on when they're open. Dispatch: Two green guarded illuminated buttons. Dispatches train. Buttons will be wired in series (requires both to be pressed) and their lights in parallel. Lights will flash when a train can be dispatched and will be on when a train is moving in the station. I'm hoping to make it use NL2's telemetry server, so that it will stay in sync with the state of the actual coaster in NL2.
