[SFM Ponies] Confrontation

Well, this took longer than expected. Soon as I heard the song back in November when someone in the mlp topic on the gamefaqs cartoon board linked it I knew had to animate it. I wanted it to have more of a stage play feel to it, hence the simplicity (though not fully done as a play), as tribute to original work. Thought it would be a nice Christmas present. lol Didn't know what I was getting myself into. But here it is and I hope you enjoy it.

Surprised with the quality of the singing. The whole shouting-while-singing is very hard to accomplish, I've found. It puts great strain on the voice and makes it harder to hold notes, especially high-pitched ones. Bravo to whoever sang this, and nice animation work, too.

This is one of my favorite animations. Not just because it's good quality, but because of some of the little things. I adore the use of Luna's wings expressively, as well as the use of a magic-fueled storm to keep the setting interesting without moving her from her room (plus kudos for the pink, I was expecting blue but with the amount of movement the pink really helped them stand out). I think the only thing that needs pointing out is that the inside of Luna's mouth needed to be darkened, as the bright red of most pony models stood out far too much against the darker room and Luna's blues. It was as if there was no shadow on it at all.

Watching the first time through, I was amazed and now I find myself replaying over and over the very moment where Nightmare Moon first enters the scene. That was VERY well done. Even with the video muted, the lighting, her pace, her poise and her expression shows that a very intimidating character is entering the scene. My attention isn't just drawn to her, it's commanded within that first 5 seconds. Luna's reaction with her widening eyes and turning to face her other half further presses the impact Nightmare Moon has on the environment. Now with the video unmuted, her icy voice bring chills to my body and I just get goosebumps listening everytime. Now, I may be a hardcore Princess Luna/Nightmare Moon fan but it's hard not to fanboy over this. Excellent work, sir!

Erm... It is kind of her fault. She could've controlled it differently by talking to her sister or something about it. Jealousy makes you do crazy things, but that doesn't mean you don't have the power to control your jealousy. Because if you don't, bad things will happen. Is it just me or does anyone else here thing that Nightmare Moon actually looks BETTER without a mane and tail? also, these types of animation blow me away that some people just have the patience to try something and get so good at it that they are able to make masterpieces like this, i am not one of those people however, but i would love to bring one of my custom mlp to life but i can never figure out how, but you on the other hand have probably worked and worked and you eventually got this INCREDIBLE animation down, you have skill, and don't get me wrong, ALL the other people who do this have skill, but this was by far my FAVORITE one so far!!!!!! GOOD JOB
