You should see the Archie comics version of shadow, I'm really impressed with how they written him perfectly, He has more moral and he manages the anti-hero thing very well, as usual. I really wished the writers from boom would work on his character development, But no, they had to show him as a grim boomer who wanted to kill sonic with no reasonable rivalry to the new and younger audiences, But I did liked the design of boom shadow, too bad his character development sucked. But in the end, once he is a badass edgelord, he's always a badass edgelord.

That is a major difference between Modern and Boom. As far as we know, there is no Maria in the Boom universe, who was such a major reason why Modern Shadow turned good. If Boom continued, I'm sure the Boom universe would have opened up and maybe we'd learn more about Shadow, but... Shame it didn't get its 3rd season. Say what you will, but as a cartoon, Boom was pretty good.
