Good morning Doctor from a rainy Sydney Australia. I didn't even know that there were Women who called out Feminism. You are the only one I've ever seen. Perhaps it's finally the beginning of the end for this destuctive 'acid'. It's important work you're engaged in. Thankyou.

there are some women opposing feminism, she left some names on the video female white knights, there is the movement Women against feminism as well

My understanding of feminism became crystal clear in a discussion with a feminist. We were discussing the subject of paper money versus metal coins. She favored abolishing paper money in all denominations in a favor of coins because coins are more durable. I said coins present a practical problem for men because men have no means of carrying them as women have purses. She cited her feminist credentials and said that in the feminist perspective, if something favors women and creates problems for men, men will simply need to find a way to cope with the action that is more favorable to women. End of discussion.

Historically she's right. You want eye opening... watch House of Garsenda by Useful Charts. It's long but shows the high probability that most of time has been matriarchy.

Men would have no issue carrying coins though. I know I don't. Purses are less practical than wallets not more.

@ribbonsofnight Gee I mean I thought pockets solved it all.

well, there are men's purses, pouches, and bags, that shouldn't be a great issue, but who really wants to carry coins instead of notes? the real question should be cash or cards, if they limit the use of cash in favor of cards we will all get screwed over time! that's a stupid perspective anyway, if the genders would be reversed there would be an outrage!

I thought that paper money was a more advanced development? That was how it was explained to me in school. The teacher went on about how the Chinese were more advanced than Europeans because they used paper money while the coin was the currency in Europe.

James Lindsay calls this "the iron law of woke projection" - whatever the woke criticise everybody else of doing, is what they're doing themselves.

So the whole SFU 1997 Rachel Marsden/Liam Donnelly scandal has been conveniently forgotten about by SFU feminists. That case debunks every last argument they've got against a men's club. One of the first things an SFU men's club should do is erect a statue of Liam Donnelly right where the feminists would have to see it every day.

The way feminism derisively "explains" men according to their own stereotypes while posing as benevolent saviors is so unbelievably arrogant. The problem is so many people accept that uncritically.

The rebuttal of the opposition to the Men’s Center is simple. Why is tue feminist framework (DEI) taken as sacred gospel in an academic setting? Is it the new state religion?

Doing my undergrad at UBC, and my MSc at SFU, this was an eye opening revelation of how things have changed at SFU. In the 90s, I helped out Dr. Patricia O'Hagan in the Harassment Office, and helped her present at many of the harassment training sessions around campus. Her message was one of balance, how not everything is harassment, giving tangible examples of what may look like harassment, but is not. After leaving SFU in 1995, I was upset to hear about the Liam Donnelly controversy, which now has its own Wikipeida page, and led to the Fraser Institute paper "Liam Donnelly’s Conviction by Prejudice: Lessons for Harassment Policy" by David Finley. As an aside, Patricia did invite me as a guest lecturer at one of her Women's Studies classes. Talk about a "Strander in a Strange Land," a male computer nerd in a Women's Studies class, talking about gender issues in Computer User Interface Design." I was also the creator and instructor of SFU's first course in Computer User Interface Design. Yes, Patricia and I were good friends.

My girlfriend at college in Vancouver (1988) was a self professed radfem and I learned a lot from her and her friends group. My main takeaway, and one of the reasons we broke up, was that while professing equality what they actually desired was societal dominance and not only the destruction of the patriarchy but also the decimation of the male ego, in particular, mine. The end of the relationship started when she spray painted the Granville Bridge with the words, "The average male is a petty rapist." Pardon me for taking umbrage with that sentiment.

Those universities have lost their reason to exist. I speculate that the unavoidable reality checks people get when they enter the workforce, is precisely what eventually will make people realize how much they wasted their time by engaging with these ideas. I guess that's the point at which attendance will decrease.
