Man...The Journey for SFV was a big roller coaster for me. Unfortunately, I didn't click with the game as much, but I still would argue that this game had probably one of the best lasting impressions from the most Street Fighter games I've ever played. Keep up the great work HiFight!

I appreciate the video starting on the first stage we ever saw of SF5, with the first 2 characters we ever saw in SF5. And then proceding to go in order of reveal, all the way to Luke. Also, it needs to finally be stated...SF5 actually DID have some crazy combos. We can finally put that misconception to rest.

It took a long time for the game to have any of the crazy combo potential you saw in this video. Years of balance patches, deeper character design, and additional mechanics got the game where it should have been in its first year.

@@Chaobreaker You mean like every SF game ever? Correct. Not a single SF game started out being the legendary game it is eventually remembered as. SF2:WW was busted. SFA1 was busted. SF3:NG was busted. SF4 vanilla was busted. It's no different for SF5. You really think characters like Oro, Rose, Seth, Gill, etc could have been in the game at launch, before the players and the devs could possibly know how the meta would evolve? No way. And it never happens with any other SF games, either. However, there were still some really cool combos in SF5, even in year 1 (Guile loops, Urien Aegis, etc). And, year 2 already had Menat and Zeku doing crazy stuff.

It's crazy to think that it's been almost 7 years since we first laid eyes on this game. Now we're on the precipice of a completely new game and era of fighting games in general. This game helped me make a lot of new friends and go to a lot of different places that I otherwise would've never had gone. I can't say that I'll miss it but I didn't have the "hate boner" for this game like so many others did. It was a wild ride to get to this point but, I'm glad we're here finally and done with it. Goodbye Street Fighter V, thanks for all the good and bad times!!

Just looking at the ending thumbnail to this video, screams masterpiece. The end product of this game is a masterpiece, The start of this game launch was disgusting, I literally brought it back 5 days later. Brought it 3 years later. Let me tell ya, felt like a whole new game. Better in every way.

@Longlostpuss No, YOU are the one who shows your youth. In no fvckin way SF V is the weakest in the entire series when there’s SF I, SF Alpha 1, and III: NG. Heck, i much rather play SF V over SF II: World Warrior which isn’t aged well because of the slow down, weird bugs, and very simple combos that born from glitches.

@@thepuppetmaster9284 SFV was all over the place at launch, it didn't become an acceptable game until about Season 3 and even then it was still limping. SF4 was better, SF3 3S was better, SFA 2 and 3 were better. Era for era, SFV was the SF that brought the least to the table and I stick by that. SF6 is exciting most fans of the series for the simple fact it seems to be bringing elements of SF4 and SF3 and looks to be nothing like the debacle was SFV. SF6 in fact was what SFV was originally intended to be if looking at the original early leaks.

After a long journey of 7 years, SFV reach his final destination after passing for a lot of changes of dont having content to having a very good amount of content and the biggest rooster of any SF game, now a new journey gonna begins with SF6 in the next timeline after SF3 events.

This game was incredibly wild with its up and downs over the years but I still think this game has the best roster ever. Alex, Oro, Urien, Gill, Menat, G, Rashid, Lucia, Nash, Rose, Kolin, Zeku just to name a few. Really hope SF6 has something close to these because I love the gameplay way more in 6 than 5.

Surprising lack of sf4 characters though, found it strange how only 2 made it, it's final roster is 9.5 out of 10 though totally agree. maybe will be the only game in a long time where we have all final bosses too for now I wonder if it will be the only game where we get a character from every game in the main series too 6: Luke 5: multiple 4:Seth , Juri 3: ALex , Oro , Gill SSF2: Akuma , Cammy SF2: All world warriors 1:Ken and Ryu , Sagat

I played a ton of fighting games in the span for almost 30 years. But SF V probably the one where i got serious and participates in tourneys either offline or online (including CPT). And ngl, despite all the flaws, i had tons of fun with SF V from learning all the matchup, combos, framedata, and fought high rank players including Xian, Hotdog, and CPT SEA winner / top 8 players. Man, what a ride. Thank you SF V and goodbye 😢🫡

Man I will miss this game, I dropped it after season 1, I dropped it early season 3, but during the pandemic, something magical clicked, and I am so happy it did, I made a community, friends and even TV cuz of this game. I didn’t play any flashy characters (at least not until how late patch buffed Alex) but boy was this game a whole ride. Learned it’s multiple iterations time and time again, and honestly, it is a game that as much as I see all its shortcomings when I sit down and play, it always manages to make me smile at the end. SF6 better have less of the rollercoaster, and as much as the amazing moments and memories, as well as new FG rivalries

good bye my old friend! this game was the one that changed my gamer status from "generic gamer" to only "fighting game player", while i saw the combos in this order i remembered all reveal trailers and the impression i got from them at the time, when AE music started was so good to me because that was when the game started to become decent, im just glad it ended so well, SFV always deserved better and with years of hard work capcom finally delivered. Its a bless to move to the next game with the sensation that the last project was special, and thats not how i feel about mk11 going foward to mk1.

Brilliant video from Hifight. Especially loved the transitions with level flow into next. That was mad sick. I have SF6 and not happy with drive rush at the moment, also I'm bored with the roster too.I think I might put SF6 on time out, then come back to it 3 years later. I might be in the minority, I prefer SFV anime look over almost realistic look of SF6. 6 looks really good. But out of the big 3, Tekken looks fantastic, Mortal Kombat looks literally real. SF6 looks great but below the other two.

A lot of people will stay playing SFV but the game will gradually fall into the niche category (just like the previous games) as casual players and pros will always focus on the newest game which is the one that will continue to receive support from capcom in terms of money for tournaments, new characters, etc.

Ya'll know this at 40 seconds of this video, that kick ass theme just screams epic ass whooping time. SFV soundtrack destroys SF6 soundtrack all day and twice on Saturdays. Hell I prefer SFV over drive rush drive rush SF6. SF6 is a great game but to me SFV is a masterpiece apart from broken Luke.

I had a very, very toxic relationship with this game. Though at this point I can say it's a good game, as a Ryu main I felt frustrated for 5+ years of its lifespan. And yet, I kept coming back for more punishment, lol. And I know that's on me, but it really drained out my enjoyment of Street Fighter to the point where I'm really not interested in the new one. I hope SF6 doesn't follow 5's path. I'll be watching from the sidelines.
