Jordan was a brilliant talent who did amazing things but Tom Brady has had the more impressive career. There’s a few other guys in basketball with more than 6 NBA titles, there’s yet more with 5 NBA titles. There’s guys with more finals appearances. There’s guys with more points, rebounds, steals and assists than Jordan. Brady is pretty much head and shoulders above his peers in championships, super bowl appearances, he’s got more wins than anyone in the regular as well as post season. Holds every post season record and top three in every regular season QB record.

MJ has 6 rings, 6 finals mvps to Tom’s 4, 5 regular season MVP to Tom’s 3, 10 scoring titles, 1 defensive player of the year. In less time played he has more accomplishments. I would say this about basketball. Lebron said he was _just a kid_ from akron. Well that kid was 6 ft 8. KG said a similar line at his HOF speech. Some guys are just built for the game. Being that tall and athletic in the ancient days meant that you were taller than the grass reeds and able to spot lions and tigers. It’s a hunting trait and also a warrior trait that could be used to your advantage if you know what your doing. Brady doesn’t have any of that. The only thing he had was his work ethic and the basic build of a body he was given. I’d say that Brady has done more with less. Yeah you play 2 ways in basketball so imagine how much harder it is to *LEAD* teams in football when you don’t even play on their side of the ball. It means you have their respect. Brady has done this over and over and over again even now with a new team. I honestly put their achievements in a very close proximity. I would say Brady is a very close number 2 due to the fact that Jordan has never ever lost on the grand stage. Also because he 3 peated TWICE one coming off a break from the entire sport itself. Like guys do not realize how *DOMINANT* Jordan was and I believe that pure *DOMINANCE* is what gives Jordan the edge over the two who are neck and neck in *Greatness*

Basketball can get physical, but Jordan never stood tall in the paint with a 300 pound monster coming at him with the intent to take his head off his body before throwing a perfect pass to his teammate for a score just before that monster hit him in the mouth with the force of a train, then being driven to the floor with that monster landing on him with the full weight of his body.....then getting back up to do it again 30 seconds later. You can’t compare the two sports but you can compare their accomplishments in their respective sports. There’s nobody even close to Brady in accomplishments in football. There’s other guys with more rings, more finals appearances and more personal records than Jordan. Lastly, I guess you didn’t watch Jordan play. He got all the calls. If he picked up 3 quick fouls, the refs wouldn’t call one on him the rest of the game.

At least we can say that these two are the undisputed GOAT’s in their respective sports. But I gotta give the edge to MJ because of much of what Wiley stated and he was the best player on the court. Tom Brady wasn’t and isn’t always the player on the field. Like this Super Bowl, Mahomes is the better player, at this moment, in this game. When the Patriots played the greatest show on turf(the 2001-02 Rams), Marshall Faulk and Kurt Warner were the better players in that year. But Tom did play better than Kurt in that Super Bowl, which is why they won.

The answer is Tom Brady. The question is who has had the more impressive career? Tom Brady because it is significantly harder to dominate in the NFL. 1 super bowl is worth more than a NBA championship. Tom Bradys playoff records double up on his next closest competition. The NFL is significantly harder than the NBA. There are a lot more moving parts. The physicality and inclement weather alone make it more difficult. I love MJ but he played in a climate controlled arena where weather was a non factor, with significantly less physicality, working with much smaller rosters and a chasm of difference between strategy.

Dallas didn’t 3peat and Brady did that exact same thing as Dallas (3 out of 4) in the 2001-2004 run. By the way, the question is who had the better career. It’s easily Brady. Nobody’s done anything close to what he’s done in football. There’s guys with more championships than Jordan.

Bad analogy. Brady has more rings than any NFL franchise. Jordan has a third as many as 2 NBA franchises. Had almost double next best QB in chips. Doubled conference championships. and pretty sure will finish 1 in TDs and yards. NBA marketed their business on names and faces. NFL doesnt. That means analyst, cameras, referees all get their check from those people. So it made the little kid in u fondest moment leave logic in ur toybox. Jordan was asked who better kobe or bron.. he said 5 is better than 3. 7 is better than 6 also done in a sport that does not have another dynasty post salary cap.

The biggest and most obvious argument that everybody ignores: the NFL has a one and done playoff format. The NBA does not. If there was somehow a 7 game series in the NFL playoffs, the patriots would've won 9+ superbowls. It is so ridiculously hard to make the super bowl because of this and other rules set in place to keep parity in the NFL.

There are more players in the NFL but there are also more positions. You have center, guard, tackle, corner, safety, QB, WR, EDGE, D tackle, RB, TE, LB. Wow! If we divide, it is harder to be All NBA than All-Pro. There are 10 All-NBA slots. 1 for every 75. There are 22, about the same about 1 for every 75. But there are 66 total NFL and only 30 total NBA, or am I wrong?

@@MRkriegs not if you are a QB. But that isnt the end all be all, and if it is, you still lose the argument. Because Brady doesn't even reach Jordan's ankles in that argument. It isn't doubly difficult. And even if it were doubly difficult, he still doesn't stack up.
@williamgirard24123 жыл бұрын
@@MRkriegs and how many games did Brady take over? As you say? Very few if any. He didn't play defense. And the Pats almost always suffocated opposing offenses. Brady didn't even have to take over games. He had his moments. But taking over a game? He got his kicker into FG range. He scored enough points to beat offensively stymied offenses. That isn't taking over a game. Jordan did take over games on both sides of the court. He would shut down the best offensive player and still drop 50 on you. You are right about it being more difficult to take over a game in the NFL. That is why few RBs or WRs or LBs have ever won MVP. Take over is what Von Miller did for the Broncos. I don't even think Mabomes took over the last SB. And I am a Chiefs fan. But he didn't take over the game. He played well enough to win. And even then his MVP is arguable.

Brady easily. Reasoning? You can't compare accolades in NFL 'one-to-one' to accolades in the NBA. In the NBA one player can change everything, one player can completely dominate. Not so much so in the NFL. The difference between NFL and NBA in this case is that the QB is the most important position (to his team) in all of sports. So that makes Brady's championships that much more special. Jordan has six rings, that isn't even the most in NBA history. Brady on the other hand is head and shoulders above the next guy. You can't say "oh well Jordan has more MVP's" without looking at the other MVP's, and how dispersed they are. In the NBA way more guys have multiple rings and multiple MVP's than in the NFL. It goes back to how much of in impact one player can make in the NBA. There is ZERO GOAT argument in the NFL anymore, there still are some in the NBA though- that should tell you what you need to know.

So let me be clear on this. It's really not even close. First two Super Bowls Tom Brady was a game manager! Lackluster Super Bowls therefore he won Super Bowl MVPs! The last two Super Bowls that Tom Brady played in + won he was not the Super Bowl MVP... Every time Jordan showed up he was the best player on the floor! Jordan dominated and 8 year Span in which he won six years of 8... Which happens to be the six years that he completed seasons! Michael Jordan is the last athlete to be the Undisputed goat for a better part of his career! Michael Jordan is a cultural icon... So much so that LeBron James fans will hate on Michael Jordan and try to tear down his legacy while wearing his shoes! Michael Jordan hasn't played in 20 years and is still a cultural icon and phenomenon! Even in the years that he did not win Michael Jordan was dominant to his respective game! Michael Jordan was never beaten on the final stage and Tom Brady was meeting on three separate occasions by inferior competition being Eli Manning twice and Nick Foles! Like I said not even close
