When playing as Captain Falcon, I have found that he can take a LOT of damage without being launched. He's one of best characters to play as.

I might take some heat about this and by the way the super smash bros. series has been a hell of a wild ride up to the point it is now. Fun and filled with great commentary. Also Elliot has stepped up his insult game with the passing times. Nice to see that. But let me get to my main point. This game series is something I grew up with. It took some time for me to own Melee. Smash 64 being my first. 64 and Brawl actually being my favorites out of the franchise. Mainly due to the fact of yes how heavy they are. It feels like you are actually in there kicking each others asses and giving all that you have. Not saying that Melee or U sucks at all by any means they are great staples to behold. U balances everything out in a way that it is actually heavily enjoyable. Melee was fast paced as it was meant to be but that killed it for me. It was so fast paced that it broke any idea of considerable fun plus unlocking Mewtwo no less. That was boring about having to leave your console on for 20 hours of play time and then just wake up that following morning and fight him. Didn't feel worth it at all. Yes Brawl you could unlock them through story mode but that felt more justified then some of the things done in melee. Everything was boosted to the highest peak with brawl and the implementations brought forth with new technology more characters and not copies of characters that hurt themselves it made for a fantastic experience. Subspace Emissary was one of the best game modes to be brought to the table alongside the 4 player smash and events things of that manner. It felt more cohesive like a third game should in any franchise. So I think with all that said. Personally from my stand point. Brawl ended up being one of the best games in the Smash Bros. series. But alas from what it sounds like over the years. Melee fans have killed it in the tournament scene which blows but fans have to kill certain games don't they?

The amount of re balancing that went in to the production of 4 and the fact that it was done on 2 platforms AND by a team outside of Nintendo shows that the guys who made Brawl where really confused when making the game. IDK if it was Saukrai or the programmers or the QA guys or just the team they had put together any which way you look at it this game was good but very confused and had no reason to be delayed so much for the product we actually received. I use to always defend Brawl as a solid improvement on the SSB formula with a better roster and gameplay options to boot but now I look back in the development time as well as what actually changed or was added form Melee to Brawl and I ask wtf happened here? Ya its a solid game but not 5+ years worth of development good :P Ya 4 took out adventure mode due to time constrants and the roster also got clipped down due to time still they finished the game in good time and over all it plays 100x better then Brawl ever did. Got to hand it to Namco Bandai when it comes to fighting game they know there shit (except Project Soul those guys suck now :P )
