How the Sega CD failed: An 8 year old named Henry Darlen was the only kid in his grade that got a Sega CD bundled with Sonic CD for Christmas because his parents were rich. He saw 7:51 after f*cking around with the Sound Test and was scared sh*tless. He [tried to] ignore it and play the actual game. Then he decided to go to the bathroom and forgot to pause. When he came back out, 8:59 happened. Then mom said, "Time to go to sleep honey!" After the horrid nightmares that bestowed him, he threw out the Sega CD w/Sonic CD inside of it. After Christmas break, he told his friends of the horrors and no one there bought anything Sega-related afterwards until right after college. Oh look, a Sonic the Hedgehog reboot!

Idk it just feels like there disrupting you in strange ways like imagine you had a level editor you then made fantastic levels but forgot to put obstacles In it but have a day to put them In so you just place them in strange spots like every second there’s a rock or some spring that just disrupts you and you can’t react because of the colours everywhere or like in one instance the rock was behind a bush.

I took a screenshot for proof. Here's the trick: 4 fins: Wait for him to extend the fins, then jump. Aim carefully. 3 fins: Wait for him to land, then jump on the top. Again, aim carefully. 2 fins: Like before, wait for him to extend his fins. 1 fin: This one is a piece of cake.

happy 27th anniversary sonic cd!!!(still love watching the opening & ending animation ever since i got introduced to it by sonic jam along with the sonic ova.hope future sonic games have animated cutscenes.:3) i like it more than sonic 1 and really enjoy the levels visuals(especially stardust speedway.only really had trouble with the level design of wacky workbench and collision chaos.),the very unique bosses,music(jp definitely though i like some of the us soundtrack as well.)metal sonic(especially in the sonic ova my favorite version of him period.) and the different way of getting the time stones with the robot generators.(which i would love to see be implemented as a way to get chaos emeralds in future games as i'm not that big a fan of special stages outside 3 and mania.) if little planet is ever brought back i'd like if it took some cues from the sonic ova's setting.(it basically was "what if tails and knuckles were in sonic cd & i'd be down with them attempting it again as i loved its setting.)

Palmtree Panic Elliot: Just imagine Green Hill Zone on crack, and you get this zone. There are loads of springs all over the place, and plenty of different routes. It's a great starting level. Collision Chaos Johnny: Chaos is correct. Not only is this zone pink, but there's all kinds of obstacles and other things that'll send Sonic back in the opposite direction, it can almost make you sick. This is also where Amy gets kidnapped by Metal Sonic. Tidal Tempest Elliot: Remember Labyrinth Zone? This is it on steroids. You'll spend 80% of your time on water, so make sure you know what you're doing and grab some Air Bubbles whenever you spot them. Quartz Quadrant Ryan: I can never exactly figure out the theme to this level. Some say it's a mining level, but I get more of a Scrap Brain zone feel with the conveyor belts and cramped spaces. It's actually not too bad of a level, so you can breeze through it pretty quickly. Wacky Workbench Johnny: Ugh, I hate this level. You'll be bouncing more than a crack addict on a trampoline. They really went overboard trying to make this level as gimmicky as possible. It's not that bad, but don't play this level in the dark unless you want a massive headache at the end of the game. (I was frozen today!) Stardust Speedway Elliot: It's like Star Light Zone, only more starry and speedy. Again, another level I think they overdid in terms of level design. But as a whole, it's actually pretty dang easy. Ryan: At the end, it's where we race Metal Sonic, in which we need to skip through specifically before he does. While you're racing, Robotnik will constantly be on your tail with his insta-kill laser that murders you even if you have rings. Oh, why didn't he use that since the beginning? Johnny: After beating Metal Sonic, we rescue Amy. _Huzzah?_ Metallic Madness Johnny: The final zone in the game, and surprisingly, it's not very hard, just long. There's this one particular part you'll probably get stuck in because your jump isn't high enough to reach the next area, and the other section is closed off. It turns out the slow-moving column will actually bounce Sonic high enough to reach the next area. Well, how the hell does that work?! You're seriously telling me that this column is capable of launching Sonic that high at its current speed? This complete disregard of physics angers me. The final boss is... pathetic. Well, after the first hit, anyway. I think it's impossible to hit Robotnik the first time without actually losing rings. Even Sonic Retro agrees with that. So... yeah, don't get used to having a lot of rings.

I finally figured out what that creepy, deformed imagine of Sonic was meant to be used for. It was an anti-piracy thing that activated when ever someone tried to play a pirated copy of Sonic CD. That creepy imagine with the Japanese text would pop up once the system "figured out" that copy was pirated. The text translates to "Fun is infinite at Sega Enterprises... Majin" Majin means devil in Japanese. I guess that was Sega's way of getting back at pirates. And "Majin" was the hideous Sonic.

I don't know if anyone has already said this, but the final boss CAN be defeated without losing rings. If you wait long enough, it will spread its petals(?) outward to attack Sonic, at which point you can jump in between them to attack Robotnik. This requires some careful maneuvering and about a minute's worth of waiting and dodging, but it is possible.

actually the peel out technically makes an appearance in sonic advance 3 when you have Amy paired up with knuckles, also instead holding up and mash the jump you hold down
