My fondest Mario Kart Wii memory, was my mom and I playing online on the SNES Boo stage. We both were in dead last, and something happened causing us both to go careening over the side. The game immediately ended, my mother was in first place, I was in second when it showed everyones placing. This happened on the first lap of the entire race.

In case someone didn't say this already but to avoid the pow block effect, you have to do a trick at the last earthquake. if you see blue rings appear beneath you then that means you avoided the shockwave, however you will still lose any item you are holding
