I never realised this before but there are two wolverine and after a quick Google search I found out it's beacuse one has bone claws and the other has adamantium claws

Bone is based on XvsSF and Adamantium is based on MvC1. Problem is Bone has more reach with his claws, but is weaker, and his assists are ass.

Why Marvel vs Capcom? Simple, Capcom is the king of fighter games and Marvel universe offers a crapton of good fighters to add in. Out of all the crossover potentials, its the most sensible one. Crossovers with other fighting games outside Capcom is weird because they usually behave drastically different in their own games, which throws people off.

Dude, the game has MAJOR balancing issues. As I said before, there are only 10-15 characters out of the 56 there are that are used in serious matches because they blow every other character out of the water.

I never said half, I said a good chunk. I know I'm not the greatest at fighting games, but my point is I NEVER see characters like Spider-Man, Servbot (well granted, it is useless), or BlackHeart enter competitions. I mean, look at the top 6 winners of EVO 2009: 1st: Storm, Sentinel, Captain Commando 2nd: Storm, Sentinel, Cyclops 3rd: Magneto, Storm, Psylocke 4th: Magneto, Sentinel, Captain Commando 5th: Magneto, Storm, Psylocke 6th: Magneto, Storm, Psylocke

To answer Elliot's question of why Marvel vs Capcom it's simply because Capcom made a fighting Marvel Arcade game called Marvel Super Heroes and later turned that concept into a VS series. Some sprites were ripped from that game for MvC2

Marvel vs Capcom happened because of Akuma appearing as a guest in the Capcom developed Marvel fighting game Children of the Atom. And B.B. Hood is also a Darkstalkers charcter. And Amingo and Ruby Heart were speculated to be unused Darkstalkers characters iirc

Rogue can't steal powers in this game. They took it out due to the large roster so each character had a trait that Rogue could acquire using her absorb specials. Some gave speed boosts, some gave power boosts, etc.

You really should be familiar with the various properties different moves and assists have. If you're being pressed down by spam fire you should use an assist with invincibility frames at the start of the move. If a good Blackheart player is giving you trouble, which he will cause it's easy. You would use captain corridor by CapCom or Dragon punch by Ken, or Blackheart himself if the spammer is far away. Then you spam. Tactics & counter tactics. But you need good fundamentals in order 2 B good.

Actually Blackheart is top tier. You can easily own with him. just jump on top of your oponent and spam fierce or roundhouse. His second assist is like CapComs but tracks as well. He has good shutdown, rushdown, runaway. Like I said before there are three tiers of players, noobs, pros, and expros. Expros are pros who are tired of playing with the same team and just play with everyone while still utilizing pro tactics. which are about controlling space by fireballs and chip damage, not SF at all.

Servbot is not totally useless. He's very small and good at runaway and hard to kill. Pick Servbot, Silver Surfer and Spiral. One 3 way super(both assists at once) will take 70 percent of life if just blocked. Forgot the assist choice combo for that trick though? All gamma?
