Well done. I've been wanting to buy one for a friend but wasn't sure of the quality. This looks like just what she needs. 👍

Thanks for showing this. Do you have a reading from a light meter (PAR) at different distances from the source?
@TechplantChannel4 жыл бұрын

Oh?! This light looks normal (not like violet ones that they sell here in the hardware stores). Does it do the same job? Can you really grow plants with it? I live in a place where we don't get much sunlight during the winter so I am wondering how to save my plants.

yeah it works well!

In another video, you state that these style bulbs should NOT be used in regular lamp base units, despite the compatibility. Yet here you state it as a plus. Can you please elaborate?
@TechplantChannel3 жыл бұрын
In the other video those lights were plugged into a device through a USB wall plug. So that means the USB plug is down volting and modifying the current so the bulbs work. This bulb is meant for 120v mains electricity straight from the wall. It's hard to explain well but both bulbs were designed for different "electricity" like you could not plug this SG led bulb into the USB powered light socket. It wouldnt work

Hi and thanks for the review. Do the lights have to be on 24/7? Just asking because I'm just getting started with hydroponics.

Is using shop lights good for plants?
@TechplantChannel4 жыл бұрын
sure depends on the wattage and light type
@jakezelikman74624 жыл бұрын
Usually good for veg 6000k lights different than 3000k lights
@mkmartin5594 жыл бұрын
Yes, most shop lights will grow small herbs and leafy greens very well, because the spectrum is ideal and those plants don't require much intensity. The lights should be kept fairly close to tops of foliage throughout growth, 4"-6" distance.
