please if I get you right, you mean that the restraining coil receives rectified current containing both the fundamental component and all the harmonics (both from the spill current and circulating current) but the operating coil only has the rectified fundamental component. But this relay connection would create a problem when there's an internal fault involving harmonics due to arc or saturation of CT, since, the relay would restrain in that condition so to solve this, we rather provide the operating coil with the rectified fundamental component and to the restraining coil we provide the fundamental and all the harmonics from the circulating current plus the second harmonic component from the spill current is this right?
