So pretty! To a newbie, you’ve shown that Sgraffito can be different things to people with different levels of carving skills. Thank you for making such helpful videos. I’ll be focussing on hand-building tiles for my mosaics so your stencil and carving videos have been wonderful to watch.

Didn't realise, I'd watched this before, your carving technique is amazing and I know this is the reason for the video, but the shape on the top is a beautiful way to finish it off

I love that he's so conversational with the camera. gorgeous work, I was so blown away by the speed and confidence with which you can carve, I take all day to carve a single scorpion. I should really try my hand at it again

I use urns with wide-ish lids for storing flour, sugar, rice, pasta, etc, and would love a massive urn for dog biscuits, though I’m thinking of making my own, if I can find a large enough kiln to hire space in. They do need space, though. I love your urns, Vaughan. They’re really stunning.

I love your sgraffito’ing! And your animal figures. Amazing, anmazing work. And how your kitty sleeps next to you the whole time and doesn’t move during fast forward editing! I’m a beginner and curious about how each particular tool results in what kind of line, maybe a short tutorial??? Apologize if you’ve made one, but I’d love the link if so. PS. I’d actually love an urn, for my mother’s and father’s ashes. They cremated every pet we’ve had too so assuming there’s room…

Thanks, I have done several carving videos and will do more. If you ever want an urn just let me know.

Hi Vaughan...nice piece From your experience, what would you consider top sellers? Is there any seasonality to the order? e.g. flower pots for spring, and soup bowls for fall

Hello, love your work! Can I asked (I may have missed it in the video) is this bisque fired or bone dry green ware? Thank you so much, from sunny Portsmouth (Uk!)
@Vsmithpots3 жыл бұрын
It is leather hard green ware. It is better to carve before the clay dries and is dusty. Thanks for watching. You have a potter called John Pollex who lives in either Portsmouth or Plymouth, he taught me in a workshop in the 1980's. He has a shop and studio you could visit. If you do, say hi from me.
