SGS Engineering Brush Cutter / Strimmer Review & Working - Great Value
In this video I explain my ownership experiences with the two stroke 52cc SGS brush cutter / strimmer to date and the various problems I have encountered and overcame. I've made a repair and one minor modification to this product , you can see the brush cutter in action doing some comparatively easy work compared to the six feet brambles and brushwood and four inch wide saplings I normally cut down with it! I don't regret using and old blade as rocks were plentiful!

Bought one a few days ago, bit of a faff sorting out the harness fitting but once that was done it really is an awesome piece of kit and well worth the money.

These are better than Stihl and I can't recommend them enough and there built in Germany

I've just replaced all the fuel lines as the ones that came with it aren't the best quality, the cutter head seams to stop auto feed when you bump it to extend the cutting wire, but other than that it really is great as it's got lots of power due to the large engine

I haven used the grass cutter head much but it’s always been troublesome auto feeding when I have. Pound for pound I’m still well impressed to this day, I could have spent three times the price on Stihl products to achieve the same tasks. Thanks for sharing you thoughts.

Too heavy? Ok... I used one 40 hours a week. This was my daily job. Carried it around along with an extra 5 liter tank. Did this for 4 years. Me: non muscular, 160 pounds.

I found the blades that came with it didn't do it justice. I got a Oregon Universal Mulching 3 Tooth Tapered Brush Cutter Blade from Amazon and now it's very effective. I still have problems starting it sometimes, though.

I also found the supplied blade wears down very quickly!

Helpful video. How easy or difficult is it to find a blade with teeth like the one you have and do you have to customize it to fit or it’s a standard fitting?
@TheRepairer
@TheRepairer 3 жыл бұрын
It’s a standard fitting blade no mods required, I purchased this one from eBay.

Hi there thanks for review, I'm looking at purchasing one, and wondering how reliable it's been? Thanks 👍

I had to replace the fuel lines and adjusted the air fuel mixture but it’s still going really strong and it’s done some serious work removing brambles up to 6ft high.

@@TheRepairer That's brilliant thanks, they are currently only £104.48 with 3 year warranty and free delivery, seems a bargain.

Good review, I've had a titan that amazingly has lasted around 6 years with heavy summer use. I'm looking for a new one and am interested in these. Don't see the point in spending hundreds on a commercial type model even though I'm on a smallholding. They do a backpack version too but not available currently, very tempted.
