I've had my SGS Brushcutter 3 years . Great value for money . Beast of a Machine that has not let me down and with the Oregon Blade on works a treat at clearing thick Brambles ..

I recently tried the brushcutter sgs blade on tough grass on the roqdside verge. It really lowers the vibrations compared to the string and oregon blade. Great bit of kit though.

I use one on my Titan 52cc. Agree with everything you say. Tried the generic flat blades but the Oregon one is a game changer. I see now the price has gone up (May 24) but Stihl now make a very similar blade.

I use one on my 535LK and it's fantastic! The tri blade vibrates a bit but on a pro brushcutter it will probably be unstoppable! Worth every penny.

@@fiveminuteman it was a good day 😎...only thing was the washer that came with the mulcher is looking a bit worse for wear. There was a wall buried under everything and came in contact. The blade's fine but noticed it got loose on the spigot and seems to have grinded the washer down that fits inside the blade. Had a good result today no less.

A pole hedge trimmer works really well on brambles too. Like a knife through butter, very low vibration. Good fun. Can't mulch it down as much as the blade though.

wasn't sure if it could be used on gorse but that's good to know. So much of our land has rewilded between gorse and brambles and I didn't want to burn any in case of wild habitats.

I bought the two bladed version of Oregon mulcher blade a few months back, and only got the chance to try it out a few days ago, using a Stihl FS91 four stroke trimmer. Wow! What a great tool for the thick brush! Before using it, I used the stock three bladed Stihl blade, and while it cut brush and smallest saplings fairly well, it left debris that then got in the way of advancing the blade into another swath. I also use a Renegade circular saw type blade for trees and heavier brush, and it, too, has its place. But the Oregon blade is my go to in the thick vine type brush, with occasional sapling. It has the rotating mass to swing through the thick.

Your right in blipping the throttle. There is no point in keeping the revs at max. That knackers you and the machine. That SDS brushcutter is good value for your money.

@@fiveminuteman Thanks. I think that maybe the 3 blade might be too heavy for smaller engine strimmers... although they do a 3mm and 4mm thick one, so the 3mm 3-blade could be as light as a 4mm 2-blade. It's all new to me, but thanks for an inspiring video!
