He isn't from kabuki himself, he was given mystical kabuki powers from the kiss of a dying Kabuki master. I miss when my friends and I used to do extra work for Troma films, the pay was about the worst going with one of my friends staring in a film for $300 but it was always a fun day.

This predates it by over 20 years. I'm guessing you don't know who Troma films are or what they put out. Troma made ultra low budget films through the 80's and Into the 90's and often casted the likes of squatter punks and musicians from the Hollywood street scene. Everything Troma did was outside of the film industry and Unions. They were basically Roger Corman minus the industry support and contracts. They used to do low budget industry flicks like "Blood Sucking Freaks" in the 70's but didn't like the lack of control and ownership so formed Troma.

@@KelsaRavenlock man I watched super. and that's what the comment was about, some psycho goes around murdering people, but while super acknowledges that that's not right and Dwight has metal issues, in this it's almost like its celebrated, which is in very bad taste. the other movie I heard about was toxic avenger, about a mutant who goes around murdering people. are all troma movies this shit?

@@jesusmora9379 If you mean are they all low budget action comedies that rarely use actual working actors, then yes. Troma films tend to parody trends a bit and this film does of good job of it for it's time considering that it was the time of Movies like "Dark Rain", "The Golden Child", "Blind Fury", or "Big Trouble in Little China". While Super was meant to be dark and show the insanity of the person Kabukiman is simply throwing tomatoes At the screen, and the targets of both movies were completely diffrent. The cultural things in the film that don't fit are not supposed to fit and are meant to be wrong and the Kabuki get up is meant to be out of place and silly because in the end all the action movies of the late 80's and early 90's with "Asian" elements were such. This was one of their biggest budget pictures and all that money went to making the effects look cheap and the acting look goofy and over the top bad simply as a comment on the work of their mainstream industry counterparts. And as to the "Sushi" scene, that is by far the goriest in the film and not the norm for the project at all.
