Wow you sure got the hell away from that US-290 flyover quickly at the end there lol. Fantastic ride... I need to do this myself at some point. The contrast between East and west Houston is in full swing here.

I've been living in Houston for two months now, and I'm surprised how so many people didn't know this, but txtag and Tolltag both work on the eztag toll roads. Relatives and friends alike didn't know that :0

It's had different names? The first part of this trip from 290 to IH45 has been there for years! It always rained in that area where it rained in the video! It also sometimes would flood there too, but only curb deep! That was many years ago!!

Ngl when all the construction is done I mean like after you pass I-45 and all the way to I-10 because they're making a 8-10 laned bridge after you pass TX-225, and the 8 laned freeway after I-45 heading to TX-225, this could be a possibility that I think this could be one of the best Non-Interstate freeways of all time.

idk when bridge is replaced, but maybe it’s gonna be in 2024, counting in winter 2025. (sorry i had to include it i don’t want to include 2069.) the 288 freeway just got replaced in nov. 16, 2020. but when they replaced 288, beltway 8 was also replaced with a new interchange. (idk what the interchange is called again, so insert some sort of text here lol) and also westpark tollway just got expanded. (again, insert some sort of text here)

It won't be replaced/opened fully before 2028, because they need to demolish Figg's sloppiness and build something more structurally stable that won't collapse on first day.

Did you know? That TxDOT is completely rebuilding the Jessie Jones bridge. first appears 6:48 starts driving on it 6:54 that bridge is COMPLETELY being rebuilt And that section just after SH-225 and that southern section was already widened and that northeast section kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYPKYoGme8ylnqs

I would get the EZ Tag to get around and then, when you create your online account, enable compatibility to all Texas tags to be able to use any toll road in Texas

@@MysteriousFuture that doesn't sound right because it costs me $6 to get from one end to the other in a 40 minute stretch (from Southwest to East, 4 toll booths). Perhaps that was the cost 3 years ago and it's gone up since then? On a side note, thanks for driving the whole beltway so that I don't have to!
